265. Mack Eugene EDWARDS. Born in 1932. At the age of 71, Mack Eugene died in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee on 20 Feb 2003. Buried in Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens, Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee. Resided in Nashville, Tennessee in 1999.

Obituary: Passed away February 20, 2003 at his home. He is survived by his wife, Retha Edwards of Nashville; sons, Mike (Mayree) Edwards of Old Hickory and Mark (Tammy) Edwards of Franklin; grandchildren, Kevin Edwards, Kristyn Edwards, Ross Edwards, and Claire Edwards; sisters, Betty Rodgers and Susan Samara, both of Bruceton, TN; brothers, Sammy Edwards and Bobby Ray "Buddy" Edwards, both of Yuma, TN. The funeral service will be conducted from the chapel of West Harpeth Funeral Home at 1 p.m. Friday, February 21, 2003 with Bro. Randall Jones and Bro. Carl Ross officiating. Interment will follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. Friends and family will serve as Pallbearers. Visitation with the family will be Friday from 10 a.m. until time of service at WEST HARPETH FUNERAL HOME, 6962 Charlotte Pike at Davidson Dr.

Mack Eugene married Retha ROSS, daughter of Cauley H. ROSS (1896-1975) & Effie Jane KELLY (1899-1995).

Jerry Glenn EDWARDS. Born on 5 Sep 1933 in Yuma, Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 65, Jerry Glenn died in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee on 28 Mar 1999. Buried on 30 Mar 1999 in Memorial Gardens, Carroll County, Tennessee. Religion: Yuma Missionary Baptist Church., Yuma, Carroll County, Tennessee.

Obituary: Jerry Glenn Edwards, 65, of Huntingdon, died Sunday, March 28, at his home. Services were held on Tuesday, March 30, at Dilday Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Carroll County Memorial Gardens. Brothers Bill Goodpasture and Billy Gooch officiated the services. Pallbearers who served were Barry Murphy, Donnie Hall, Tommy Barksdale, James Rodgers, Willard Sullivan and Randy Crider. Honorary pallbearers were Glendon Rich, Frankie Smith, Johnny Daube, Glenn Morgan, Kenny Peterson, Billy Tines and Randy Crider. Mr. Edwards, the son of Malcolm and Euba Gooch Edwards, was born in Carroll County, on September 5, 1933. He was a retired mill operator and Norandal USA in Huntingdon and a member of the Yuma Missionary Baptist Church. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Tommy Edwards. He is survived by his wife, Migon Edwards; two sons, Robert Edwards of Paris and Burton Edwards of Huntingdon; two sisters, Betty Rodgers and Mary Ann Samara, both of Bruceton; three brothers, Mack Edwards of Nashville, Bobby Ray Edwards and Sammy Edwards, both of Yuma; and two grandchildren, Allison Edwards and Payten Plunk.

Jerry Glenn married Mignon MURPHY, daughter of Roy Leon MURPHY (1913-1971) & Madeline MASSEY (1914-).

Mignon Murphy Edwards' career in basketball began at Clarksburg and was capped by an outstanding high school career as a forward. She served as team captain for two years and set numerous scoring records during her career including one game with Bruceton where she alone outscored the entire Bruceton team by scoring 39 points. She averaged 29 points per game in her career. Her skills were rewarded by being named to All-District, All-Region, and All-State teams. Upon graduation from Clarksburg in 1955, she was awarded a scholarship to play for the prestigious Nashville Business College team. She now resides in Huntingdon, Tennessee.

267. Mary Ann EDWARDS. Born on 28 Dec 1939. Resided in Bruceton, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1999. Alias/AKA: "Susan".

Mary Ann first married James Enochs DARNALL, son of John Edward DARNAL (1918-) & Cleve Oletha ENOCHS (1919-). Born in 1937 in Yuma, Carroll County, Tennessee.

They had the following children:

268. Bobby Ray EDWARDS. Born on 5 Aug 1942 in Carroll County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Buddy".

Bobby Ray married Jane Ellen McDANIEL, daughter of Irvin Washington McDANIEL (1925-) & Alice Ruth KIZER (1924-). Born on 15 Mar 1946 in Henderson County, Tennessee. They were divorced.

They had the following children:

269. Sammy Lee EDWARDS. Born on 5 Sep 1944. Resided in Yuma, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1999.

Sammy Lee married Pamela GOOCH, daughter of James Audrain GOOCH (1914-2002) & Vida ROARK (-1959). Resided in Yuma, Carroll County, Tennessee in Jan 2002.

They had the following children:

270. Betty Ruth EDWARDS. Born on 26 Sep 1949. Resided in Bruceton, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1999. Resided in Bruceton Carroll County, Tennessee in Nov 2001.

Betty Ruth married James Hershel RODGERS, son of Hershel RODGERS & Marguerite JAMES. Alias/AKA: "Buck".

They had one child:
i. James Adam. Resided in Memphis, Shelby County, Tennessee in Mar 2003.

On 4 May 2003 James Adam married Alison Leah LANE, daughter of David LANE & Judy ?, in Carahills Estate, Eads, Tennessee.

Marriage Announcement: David and Judy Lane of Johnson City, Tennessee announce the engagement of their daughter, Alison Leah Lane, to James Adam Rodgers, son of James and Betty Rodgers of Bruceton, Tennessee. The bride elect is the granddaughter of Lena Lane and the late Hobert Lane of Kingsport, Tennessee and the late David and Stella Slemp of Elizabethton, Tennessee. Alison is a 1993 graduate of Franklin High School, Franklin, Tennessee; a 1997 graduate of Union University, Jackson, Tennessee; and a 2001 graduate of the University of Tennessee, Memphis College of Pharmacy. The groom elect is the grandson of Marguerite Rodgers and the late Hershel Rodgers of Bruceton, Tennessee and the late Malcolm and Euba Edwards of Yuma, Tennessee. Adam is a 1994 graduate of Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central High School; a 1998 graduate of the University of Tennessee at Knoxville; and a 2002 graduate of the University of Tennessee, Memphis College of Pharmacy. The wedding is planned for May 4 at Carahills Estate in Eads, Tennessee.
