Obituary: Services for Mrs. Ruth Todd were Sunday, February 10 at Reeds Chapel. Burial in Farmville Cemetery in Yuma, TN. Mrs. Todd, who was 94, died Saturday, February 9, in the Lexington Methodist Hospital. She was a homemaker. She leaves one son, Larry Joe Todd of Wildersville, two sisters, Martha Nell Seagraves and Pat Wood, both of Yuma; two grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. On 24 Apr 1925 when Ruth was 18, she married Dennis Fleet TODD, son of Joseph E. TODD (1863-1933) & Sarah Rachel SOLOMON (1861-1928), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born in 1898. At the age of 77, Dennis Fleet died on 2 Apr 1975. Buried in Apr 1975 in Farmville Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. They had one child:
135. Euba GOOCH. Born on 28 Aug 1909. At the age of 80, Euba died on 21 Nov 1989. Buried in Nov 1989 in New Hope Cemetery, Yuma, Carroll County, Tennessee. On 16 Dec 1928 when Euba was 19, she married Malcolm EDWARDS, son of Lafayette EDWARDS (1880-1955) & Lavada BURCH (1883-1958). Born on 28 Mar 1906 in Tennessee. Services were held on Friday, June 29, in the Dilday Funeral Home Chapel. Brothers A.G. Hayes and Charles Hampton officiated. Burial followed at the New Hope Cemetery. The pallbearers who served were Javin Gooch, Jason Gooch, Jeff Gooch, Jeff Seaton, Dale Seagraves, and Charles Hampton. Mr. Gooch, the son of the late Sam and Callie Therrell Gooch, was born October 17, 1911, in Yuma. He was a retired self-employed carpenter and a member of the Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a brother, Sam Edward Gooch; and four sisters, Dorothy Seagraves, Lizzie Cary, Euba Edwards, and Frances Umstead. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Cleo Gooch; two daughters, Sue Hollowell of Yuma and June Murphy of Clarksburg; a son, Billy Gooch of Yuma; three sisters, Martha Nell Seagraves and Pat Wood, both of Yuma, and Ruth Todd of Wildersville; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. On 17 Jun 1933 when James Franklin was 21, he married Cleo Maynard HOPPER, daughter of Riley Washington HOPPER (1882-1947) & Euvis Eliza HAYWOOD (1894-1979), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born on 4 Feb 1914 in Carroll County, Tennessee. They had the following children:
137. Frances GOOCH. Born on 12 Jan 1913. At the age of 85, Frances died on 27 Dec 1998. Buried in Dec 1998 in New Hope Cemetery, Yuma, Carroll County, Tennessee. Frances married Sam UMSTEAD, son of Roland UMSTEAD (1875-1956) & Mary Frances JOWERS (1886-1970). Born on 3 Jun 1910. At the age of 80, Sam died on 17 Mar 1991. Medical: Patricia Gooch was delivered by Dr. Bolen, Wildersville, Henderson County, Tennessee. Patricia married James Bryan WOOD, son of Albert Braxton WOOD Senior (1880-1960) & Willie M. WOODS (1882-1969). Born on 1 Aug 1917 in Yuma, Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 58, James Bryan died in 1976. Buried in 1976 in New Hope Cemetery, Yuma, Carroll County, Tennessee.
