16. Luke Lee JAMES. Born on 12 Sep 1858 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 79, Luke Lee died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 12 Aug 1938. Buried in Aug 1938 in James Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

On 13 Sep 1885 when Luke Lee was 27, he married Betty Mae STANFORD (11) , daughter of David STANFORD (1832-1874) & Martha JAMES (4) (1835-1900). Born on 30 Mar 1866 in Tennessee. At the age of 75, Betty Mae died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 6 Oct 1941. Buried in 1941 in James Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

17. John R. JAMES. Born on 26 Aug 1859 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 38, John R. died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 24 Nov 1897. Buried in Nov 1897 in James Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

On 4 Nov 1883 when John R. was 24, he married Dissie Jane PAGE, daughter of Daniel Kingston PAGE (1835-1897) & Mary Frances JOHNSON (1838-1910), in Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee. Born on 25 Sep 1867 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 68, Dissie Jane died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 25 Dec 1935. Buried in 1935 in Ridge Grove Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Dicey".

Obituary: Mrs. Dissie Jane Page James, daughter of the late Daniel K. and Francis Johnson Page, was born in Carroll County, September 25, 1867, and died in the home of her son, Ivvie James, Bargerton, December 25, 1935, at the age of 68 years. She was married in November 1883 to John R. James who died November 23, 1896. Four children from that marriage survive: Andrew James, Ivvie James, Mrs. Talmadge (Hattie) Moffitt and Mrs. Robert (Bertha) Mayo, all of the Center Ridge community. Also surviving are brothers and sisters, Mrs. N.E. Haley, Miss C.E. Page, J.R. Page, T.L. Page, all of Henderson County, Mrs. Mary Aden, Huntingdon, J.W. Page, Bruceton, and W.H. Page, Newbern.

They had the following children:

ii. Carlie May. Born on 24 May 1887 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 2, Carlie May died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 22 Jun 1889.
iii. Hersey. Born on 14 Nov 1889 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 1, Hersey died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 4 Aug 1891.
59 iv. Hattie Mae (1892-1952)

vi. Bertha Mae. Born on 17 Jan 1897 in Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee.

Bertha Mae married Robert MAYO.

18. William Thomas JAMES. Born in 1860 in Tennessee. At the age of 65, William Thomas died on 18 Sep 1925. Buried in Sep 1925 in James Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

William Thomas married Dissie J. WILLIS, daughter of John H. WILLIS (1841-1900) & Avie M. ? (1844-). Born on 4 Apr 1865 in Tennessee. At the age of 80, Dissie J. died on 2 Aug 1945. Buried in Aug 1945 in James Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

They had the following children:

ii. Perley V.. Born in Jan 1892 in Tennessee.

On 29 Jan 1911 when Perley V. was 19, she married Arthur MITCHELL, in Henderson County, Tennessee.

Katie first married Frank WOODWARD, son of ? WOODWARD & Emily Elizabeth SMITH (1869-1943). Born in 1897 in Tennessee. At the age of 51, Frank died in 1948. Buried in 1948 in Spain Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

Frank Woodward resided in Henderson County, Tennessee in 1920 with his mother and step-father.

Katie second married ? DERRYBERRY.
