County, TN.

Verona lived most of their married live in the New Liberty community, He was a farmer, and they both were interested in
education. At least 5 of their children taught school during their lifetimes.

From History of Carroll County, TN: "It is said that Verona was a good student of the Bible, and while churning or rocking a baby she would be quoting
Scripture, one chapter after another". James and Verona were members of the Church of Christ and worshiped at Hickory Plains.

County, TN. Lucinda was 83 when she died in Carroll County, TN on 28 Apr 1947. Lucinda was buried in Sellers Hill
Cemetery., nr. Clarksburg.
Lucenda and Sebern reared her youngest brother, John Sims, after their father died when he was only one month old. HCCT: pg 233.

Cemetery., nr. Clarksburg.
Miss Myrtie BELEW, 73, died Sun. night at her home in Huntingdon after a long illness. Services were held at 2:30 Mon. afternoon at the Clarksburg Church
of Christ. Fren Chunn, minister of the church, officiated. Burial was in the
Sellers Cemetery near. Clarksburg. Miss Belew was a lifelong resident of Carroll County.
She was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors are a sister, Miss Sudie BELEW, and brother, H.W. BELEW, both of Huntingdon. Dilday Funeral Home was

is survived by a brother, H.W. BELEW. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Her parents were S.J. and Lucinda Laws BELEW. [Newspaper - Feb. 22,
