MONROE'S land in Cherokee Nation was situated 7 miles west of north of the
town of Adair. In 1907 on his Indian Application he was living in Miami,
Ottawa County, Oklahoma.
He married Cora Delila DIXON, F. Born about 1864. Cora Delila was 80 when she died in Miami, Ottawa
County, OK on 28 Mar 1944. Cora Delila was buried in G.A.R. Cemetery, Miami, Ottowa
County, OK.
Cora's last name was found on her mother's headstone in G.A.R. Cemetery, Miami,
Ottawa County, OK. Cora and her mother are buried side by side in a plot owned
by Monroe E. BELEW. Cora didn't have a headstone but was listed on the record
as Cora BELLEW LADD. Block 5, Lot 14, Grave No. 6. There is no record of
Monroe being buried there even though he was the owner of the cem. plot.
Monroe may have died before Cora and she married a second time to a Mr. LADD.

She married William H. SEYMOUR, M, on 19 Jan 1864 in Milan, Gibson County, Tennessee. Born on 14 Mar 1835. William H. was 61 when he died on 21 Jul 1896.
