CARTER (1918-2003) & Alene BLACKWELL. Born on 25 Oct 1960. Resided in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee in Oct 2001. Huntingdon’s own Dr. Lee Carter, M.D. has been elected to a another term as an officer for the Tennessee Academy of Family Physicians (TAFP). According to Carter, this will be his second term as speaker for the TAFP congress of delegates that meets annually in Nashville. Carter has been involved with the TAFP for many years – since he was a medical student – and has also served as an alternate board member in the past. The TAFP has a total membership of 2,150 across the state and was organized in 1948 to promote and maintain high standards of family medicine, to encourage and assist in providing continuing medical education for family physicians and to encourage young men and women to prepare and establish themselves in family medicine. TAFP members must obtain at least 150 hours of continuing medical education every three years to maintain their membership. Dr. Carter, who practices family medicine out of the R.B. Wilson Medical Clinic in Huntingdon, also serves on the board of directors for the Tennessee Medical Association (TMA) and American Cancer Society Mid-South Division Board of Directors. He also serves as team physician for the Huntingdon High School football team. They had the following children:

On 16 May 1989 when Charlene was 21, she married Donald Patrick MILAM, son of William Thomas MILAM Junior (1927-1999) & Virginia Ann REXFORD. Occupation: Church of Christ Minister.
