799. Jerry Burton GOOCH. Born on 19 Aug 1945 in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee. Occupation: Physician.

Jerry Burton Gooch, son of Burton and Dorothy Jean Wall Gooch was born August 19, 1945 in Huntingdon, Tennessee. He was delivered by Dr. Robert B. Wilson on his grandfather's birthday. He moved to Memphis in 1946, attended Harding Academy, graduating in 1963, received a B.S. Degree from David Lipscomb College in Nashville; received a Medical Degree from the University of Tennessee Medical School in 1970, completed his general surgery residency at Baylor University in Houston, Texas, and specialized in cardiovascular surgery, training under the well known Dr. Cooley and Dr. DeBakery. He is now in practice in Memphis, Tennessee and is president of the Cardiovascular Center, Incorporated in Memphis. He married Carol Jecker of Louisville, Kentucky on April 17, 1976. They have three children: Gregory Burton, Courtney Deanne, and Laurene Carol. As of 1986, he was a Cardiovascular surgeon on the staff of Methodist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.

On 17 Apr 1976 when Jerry Burton was 30, he married Carol JECKER.

They had the following children:
i. Gregory Burton.

ii. Courtney Deanne.

iii. Laurene Carol.

Priscilla Jean married Stephen SPECK.

They had the following children:
i. Randy.

ii. Travis.

iii. Meredith.
