Curtis A. married Allie Mae HAMPTON (557) , daughter of Don HAMPTON (255) (1885-) & Gaither Floella CRIDER (1893-1960). Born on 4 Feb 1910. At the age of 87, Allie Mae died on 17 Jul 1997.

James Wylie BELEW. Born on 18 Nov 1911 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 78, James Wylie died in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee on 8 Aug 1990. Buried in Aug 1990 in Carroll County Memorial Gardens, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Jimmie".

James Wylie married Clara WEBB, daughter of John Leonard WEBB (1876-1959) & Rosa Lee BREWER (ca1880-). Born around 1912 in Tennessee. Resided in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in 12th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1920.

381. Ava Jewell BELEW. Born on 20 Dec 1914 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 90, Ava Jewell died in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee on 10 Dec 2005.

Obituary: HUNTINGDON: Ava Jewell Bennett, 90, died Saturday, December 10, at Huntingdon Health and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services were conducted December 12 in the chapel of Dilday Funeral Home with Brother Wayne Holmes officiating. Interment followed in the Palmer Shelter Cemetery. Mrs. Bennett was born December 20, 1914, in Carroll County, to the late Thomas and Francis Hood Belew. She was a retired employee of Basler Electric and a member of Palmer Shelter United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Davis Bennett, who died October 18, 1989; two brothers, Curtis Belew and Jimmy Belew; and one son-in-law, Jerry Shands. She is survived by two sons, Robert (Jo Anne) Franklin Bennett and Jerry (Carol) Thomas Bennett; one daughter, Shirley Nell Shands; and one sister, Brooxsie Nell Campbell, all of Huntingdon; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and one step-grandchild.


On 1 Oct 1932 when Ava Jewell was 17, she married Vernon Douglas BENNETT, son of Lucian R. BENNETT (1888-1961) & Izonia DAVIS (1888-1981), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born on 6 Jun 1909 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 80, Vernon Douglas died on 17 Oct 1989. Resided in District 12, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1910. Resided in District 12, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1920. Resided in District 12, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1930. Resided in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee.

382. Brooxie Nell BELEW. Born in 1920. Resided in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee in Dec 2005.

Brooxie Nell married Thomas Ray CAMPBELL.

Served as a Representative to the Tennessee State Legislature from Carroll County. He had a business on highway 70 at Leach, Tennessee. He managed a plumbing business and sold Hotpoint Appliances.
