Obituary: Georgia Prenos Culver Scott, 80, of Lexington, formerly of Paducah and Clarksburg, TN, died Sunday, March 23, 2003. She was born July 24, 1922 in Paducah, KY, the daughter of the late Peter T. and Lucille Yates Prenos and Goddaughter of Rev. and Mrs. Curtis Fletcher. A native of Paducah, she attended Augusta Tilghman High School and worked for Clausner Hosiery and Rhodes-Burford Furniture. While living in Tennessee, she worked for Serl Anderson Furniture Company and the Carroll County Co-operative. She was a member of the Grace Episcopal Church in Paducah, KY. She is survived by three daughters, Ms. Anna Gail Smith, Mrs. Kathy (Mayford) Boyd of Paducah and Mrs. Carolyn (Thomas) McConnell of Lexington; and three grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Robert William Culver and her husband, Elgar Scott of Wildersville, TN. Graveside services will be held today at 1:00 p.m. (Central Standard Time) at the Maplelawn Park Cemetery in Paducah, KY with Rev. George Jaeger officiating. W. R. Milward Mortuary-Broadway in charge of arrangements.
