Nanny Lou Ellen HARDY. Born on 20 Oct 1900 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 51, Nanny Lou Ellen died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 10 Feb 1952. Buried in Feb 1952 in Sellers Hill Cemetery, Clarksburg, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in 6th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1930. Alias/AKA: "Nannie".

On 6 Jun 1915 when Nanny Lou Ellen was 14, she married John Alvin PRITCHARD, son of John Clark PRITCHARD (1854-1902) & Emily Alice POTEETE (1867-1902). Born on 1 Sep 1891. At the age of 61, John Alvin died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 19 Dec 1952. Buried in Dec 1952 in Sellers Hill Cemetery, Clarksburg, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in District 5, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1920. Resided in District 6, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1930.

Florence Corene HARDY. Born on 29 Nov 1907 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 92, Florence Corene died in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee on 4 Dec 1999. Buried in Dec 1999 in Sellers Hill Cemetery, Clarksburg, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in District 13, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1930.

Obituary: Florance Corene Hardy Gurley, 92, of Huntingdon, died Saturday, December 4, at the Huntingdon Health and Rehabilitation Center. Services were held on Monday, December 6, at 2 p.m. at the Clarksburg Church of Christ. Brothers Bill Crossno and Billy Ringold officiated. Burial followed in the Sellers Cemetery. Dilday Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Gurley, the daughter of the late Tom and Ida Tosh Hardy, was born November 29, 1907, in Carroll County. She was a homemaker and seamstress, and a member of the Clarksburg Church of Christ. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, John Oder Gurley, who died in 1980; three brothers and three sisters. She is survived by six children, Odell Gurley, Orbra Gurley, Oren Ray Gurley and Frances Laws, all of Huntingdon, and Odaleane Wyatt and Otis Gurley, both of Jackson; two brothers, Elihue Hardy and Roosevelt Hardy, both of Huntingdon; 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

On 6 Aug 1929 when Florence Corene was 21, she married John Oder GURLEY, son of Vinson Ross GURLEY (1867-1954) & Sara Jane ALEXANDER (1870-1938). Born on 8 Dec 1899 in Tennessee. At the age of 80, John Oder died on 11 Jun 1980. Resided in District 13, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1930.

They had the following children:

iii. Otis Thomas Franklin. Born on 2 Mar 1935. Resided in Jackson, Madison County, Tennessee in 2000.

Otis Thomas Franklin married Erbie Jane QUINN. Born on 25 Mar 1944.

No children were produced from this marriage.

297. James Newton HARDY. Born on 14 Sep 1914. At the age of 75, James Newton died on 12 Dec 1989. Alias/AKA: "Jimmy".

James Newton married Avie PARSONS, daughter of W. Hughlan PARSONS (1892-1916) & Bessie CARDEN (1892-1982).

They had the following children:

298. Thomas Elihue HARDY. Born in 1917.

Thomas Elihue married Geraldine CRIDER, daughter of Sidney J. CRIDER (1879-1961) & Bessie CARDEN (1892-1982). Born on 24 Feb 1921. At the age of 79, Geraldine died in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee on 31 Dec 2000. Buried on 2 Jan 2001 in Sellers Hill Cemetery, Clarksburg, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee.

Obituary: Geraldine Crider Hardy, 79, of Huntingdon, died Sunday, December 321, at Huntingdon Health & Rehabilitation Center. Services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 2, at the Dilday Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Bill Crossno and Speaker Joe Britt officiated. Burial followed in the Sellers Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Hardy, the daughter of the late Sidney and Bessie Carden Crider, was born February 24, 1921. She was a retired nurse and a member of the Clarksburg Church of Christ. She was also preceded in death by a son, Gary Hardy. She is survived by her husband, Thomas E. Hardy; two daughters, Patricia Haywood of Huntingdon and Carolyn Hester of Tennessee; two sons, Tommy Hardy of Nashville and Travis Hardy of Loudon; four sisters, Ava Hardy of Huntingdon, Brooxie Bessett of Sharon, Naomi Britt of Lexington, and Raymelle Kelley of Detroit, Michigan; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

They had the following children:

299. Homer Roosevelt HARDY. Born on 24 May 1919.

In 1937 when Homer Roosevelt was 17, he married Virginia ANDERSON, daughter of Cornelius M. ANDERSON (1871-1942) & Sudie JOHNSON (1878-1947), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born on 23 Feb 1919 in Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in District 13, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1930.

They had the following children:
i. Betty Lou.

Betty Lou married Travis CARROLL.
