283. Joseph Clay SCOTT. Born on 27 Apr 1908. At the age of 90, Joseph Clay died on 25 Jun 1998.

On 5 Jun 1926 when Joseph Clay was 18, he married Margaret Erin KIRBY. Born on 24 Jun 1910. At the age of 86, Margaret Erin died on 20 Dec 1996.

They had the following children:

284. Erin Lee SCOTT. Born on 21 Dec 1909 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 90, Erin Lee died in Jackson, Madison County, Tennessee on 28 Aug 2000. Buried on 30 Aug 2000 in Sellers Hill Cemetery, Clarksburg, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee.

Obituary: Erin Crider Pritchard, 90, of Huntingdon, died Monday, August 28, at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Services will be held today (Wednesday, August 30) at 11 a.m. in the Dilday Funeral Home Chapel. Brother Dave Morrison will officiate. Burial will follow in the Sellers Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Pritchard, the daughter of the late Robert and Flossie Dill Scott, was born December 21, 1909, in Carroll County. She was the widow of Howard Crider, who died in 1963 and Thedus Pritchard, who died in 1971. She was a member of the Twin Oaks Church of Christ. She is survived by six daughters, Wilma Smith and Dorothy Green, both of Huntingdon, Nell Cary of Yuma, Jane Webb of West Frankfort, Illinois, Faye Stockdale of Big Sandy, and Kaye Pace of Camden; two sons, Justin Crider and Randy Crider, both of Huntingdon; a sister, Lucille Peterson of Clarksburg; a brother, Priestly Scott of Puryear; 19 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great-grandchildren.

On 25 Dec 1923 when Erin Lee was 14, she first married George Howard CRIDER, son of Milton Harrison CRIDER (1841-1930) & Mary Jane ? (1865-), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born on 16 Jul 1901 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 62, George Howard died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 28 Sep 1963. Buried in Sep 1963 in Sellers Hill Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in District 13, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1920. Resided in District 13, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1930.

They had the following children:

On 7 Jun 1967 when Erin Lee was 57, she second married Thetus PRITCHARD, son of James Gideon PRITCHARD (1862-1942) & Josephine WATSON (1868-1934). Born in 1903 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 67, Thetus died in 1970. Buried in 1970 in Blair Cemetery, Clarksburg, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in District 13, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1920.

285. Onice Garland SCOTT. Born on 9 Sep 1912 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 82, Onice Garland died on 25 Sep 1994. Resided in District 13, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1930.

On 31 Mar 1933 when Onice Garland was 20, he married Mary Addie ROARK.

They had one child:

286. Lucille SCOTT. Born on 26 May 1920 in Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in District 13, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1930.

On 10 Aug 1935 when Lucille was 15, she married James Odell PETERSON, son of James Alexander PETERSON (1881-1951) & Lillie True GATLIN (1884-1967), in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee. Born on 26 Oct 1915. At the age of 77, James Odell died on 6 Feb 1993. Buried in Feb 1993 in Sellers Hill Cemetery, Clarksburg, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee.

On 7 Apr 1950 when Robert Priestly was 20, he married Margie PARISH, daughter of O.L. PARISH & Alice GILBERT.

They had the following children:
i. Charlotte. Resided in Madisonville, Kentucky in 2000.

ii. Joe. Resided in Murray, Kentucky in 2000.

iii. Sandra. Resided in Calvert City, Kentucky in 2000.

iv. Mark. Resided in Buchanan, Henry County, Tennessee in 2000.


50th Anniversary Announcement: Mr. and Mrs. Robert Priestly Scott of Puryear, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, April 8, at the Eastwood Street Church of Christ (multi-purpose) room, Eastwood Street Paris. All relatives and friends of the couple are invited to attend this celebration from 2:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. Mr. Scott is the son of the late Robert Jeffery Scott and the late Flossie Dill Scott of Huntingdon. Mrs. Scott is the daughter of the late O.L. Parish and the late Alice Gilbert Parish of Delta City, Mississippi. Mr. and Mrs. Scott have been involved in full time ministry work for 47 years, at congregations in Tennessee and Kentucky. They are presently ministering at Fairview Church of Christ in Milan, where they have ministered for 30 years. Mr. Scott is retired from Martin Marietta in Milan. They are the parents of four children: Charlotte Chilcutt of Madisonville, Kentucky, Joe Scott of Murray, Kentucky, Sandra Smith of Calvert City, Kentucky, and Mark Scott of Buchanan. They have six grandchildren. The reception following this celebration is being hosted by their children and grandchildren.
