168. Thomas Jefferson HARDY. Born in 1873 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 51, Thomas Jefferson died in Carroll County, Tennessee in 1924. Buried in Sellers Hill Cemetery, Clarksburg, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee.

Thomas Jefferson married Ida Louisa TOSH (135) , daughter of James Alvin TOSH (1843-1917) & Sarah Louisa SCOTT (55) (1847-1880). Born in 1878. At the age of 71, Ida Louisa died in Carroll County, Tennessee in 1949. Buried in Sellers Hill Cemetery, Clarksburg, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee.

They had the following children:
i. Lackey Hershel. Born in 1897. At the age of 2, Lackey Hershel died in Carroll County, Tennessee in 1899. Buried in Sellers Hill Cemetery, Clarksburg, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee.

ii. Zela Mai. Born in 1899. At the age of 1, Zela Mai died in Carroll County, Tennessee in 1900. Buried in Sellers Hill Cemetery, Clarksburg, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee.

Lydia Ellen HARDY. Born on 30 Oct 1883 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 85, Lydia Ellen died in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee on 11 Dec 1968. Buried in 1968 in New Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in 7th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1920.

Lydia Ellen first married Charlie Homer MANN. Born in Nov 1872 in Tennessee. At the age of 52, Charlie Homer died in 1925. Buried in 1925 in New Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in 7th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1920.

ix. Mable Helen. Born on 18 Nov 1919 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 83, Mable Helen died in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee on 12 Dec 2002. Buried on 14 Dec 2002 in Palmer Shelter Cemetery, Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee.

Obituary: Mrs. Mable E. McMackins, 83, died on Thursday, December 12 at the Huntingdon Health and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, December 14 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chase Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Hugo Sellers and Brother Doug Sellers officiating. Interment followed in the Palmer Shelter Cemetery. Mrs. McMackins was born November 18, 1919 in Carroll County to the late Homer and Lydia Hardy Mann. She retired from Publix Shirt Corporation and was a member of the Holladays Chapel Church of Christ. Her first husband, Jim Lacy and her second husband, Russell McMackins, also preceded her in death. Survivors include two stepdaughters, Betty Webb of Huntingdon and Ann McClintock of Little Rock, Arkansas; one stepson, Donald McMackins of Huntingdon; two sisters, Verda Wooters of Huntingdon and Alene Daniels of Murfreesboro; and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers who served were David Sellers, Junior Reeves, Wayne Eskew, Billy Parham, Lane Dill and Jack McCaslin.


Mable Helen first married Russell McMACKINS.

Mable Helen second married James H. LACY, son of Horace LACY (1894-) & Bessie Gertrude MORGAN (1895-1930). James H. died on 5 Sep 1979.

x. Juel Arline. Born on 4 Oct 1922. Resided in Murfreesboro, Rutherford County, Tennessee in Dec 2002. Resided in Murfreesboro, Rutherford County, Tennessee in Sep 2003.


Lydia Ellen second married Cary Anderson BUTLER. Born in 1881. At the age of 88, Cary Anderson died in 1969. Buried in 1969 in New Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.
