On 11 Feb 1851 when Crittendon was 28, he married Mary E. BRIDGES, daughter of Samuel BRIDGES & Nancy TATUM, in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born in Jun 1835 in Mississippi. Mary E. died in Portageville, Missouri. They had the following children:

On 13 Feb 1872 when Elizabeth Ann was 28, she married Elijah FALKNER, son of Gideon J. FALKNER (1806-1884) & Jane TOSH (1804-1884). Born on 22 Nov 1846 in 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee. Occupation: Elijah Falkner was a County Court Clerk, Census Taker, and owned a dry goods store. E. Falkner, ex-county court clerk, was born November 22, 1846, in the Thirteenth District of Carroll County, and is the son of G. J. and Jane (Tosh) Falkner. The father was of Scotch descent. He was born in 1806, in Anson County, N.C., and was a farmer by occupation. In 1826 he left his native State and immigrated to Carroll County, Tenn. In 1830 he married Miss Nancy Sellers. She died the following year. In 1833 he married Miss Jane Tosh, who was of Irish extraction. She was a native of Christian County, Ky., born in 1804. Mr. Falkner bought 250 acres in the Thirteenth District, where he settled and lived until 1860, when he moved to the Twelfth District and remained until 1875, when he broke up housekeeping and he and his wife went to live with their son, E. He died December 1, 1884, and his wife five days subsequently. He was the father of six children, four by his first wife and two by his second, only two of whom are living, one by his first wife (Nancy, wife of E. P. Philips,) and Mr. Falkner, our subject. He was reared at home, receiving his education in the native county, making his home with his parents until he was nineteen years of age. After becoming his own master be hired to P. E. Parker as clerk in his dry goods store, and worked for him two years, and the following year, or 1870, he was appointed as census taker of Carroll. In 1871 he clerked for Jo. McCracken & Co. In 1872 he was appointed as assistant assessor in the United States revenue department for a part of the Eighth District, or three counties, Benton, Henry and Weakley. He served two years. In 1874 he commenced merchandising on his own responsibility in Huntingdon and continued three years. In 1878 he was elected as county court clerk on the Republican ticket. In 1882 he was re-elected, and in 1885 he resigned. February 13, 1873, he married Miss Bettie Scott, who was a native of Carroll County, and was born in September, 1846. They have five children: Lula, Joe, Birdie, Elijah J., Wayne. Mr. Falkner resides one mile southeast of Huntingdon, and is the owner of 360 acres. He is a member of the Masonic fraternity, Lodge No. 106, and himself and wife are members of the Christian Church. They had the following children:
54. Henry Clay SCOTT Senior. Born on 30 Oct 1844 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 69, Henry Clay died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 2 May 1914. Buried in May 1914 in Sellers Hill Cemetery, Clarksburg, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in House # 1630, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1850. Resided in 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1870. Military: Henry Clay served in Company G, 7th Tennessee Cavalry, U.S. On 23 Jun 1867 when Henry Clay was 22, he married Durotha Isabelle GULLEDGE, daughter of Thomas S. GULLEDGE (1825-1849) & Elizabeth Jane ROARK (1827-1888), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born on 12 Nov 1848 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 72, Durotha Isabelle died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 19 Mar 1921. Buried in Mar 1921 in Sellers Hill Cemetery, Clarksburg, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1870. Durotha Isabelle Gulledge was living with her daughter, Sarah Lou Eller Scott Wiles, in the 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee, during the 1920 Census. They had the following children:
55. Sarah Louisa SCOTT. Born on 25 Nov 1847 in Tennessee. At the age of 32, Sarah Louisa died in Carroll County, Tennessee in 1880. On 25 Nov 1874 when Sarah Louisa was 27, she married James Alvin TOSH, son of Arthur TOSH (1808-1876) & Candace SELLERS (1808-1896). Born in 1843 in Tennessee. At the age of 74, James Alvin died in Carroll County, Tennessee in 1917. Buried in 1917 in Sellers Hill Cemetery, Clarksburg, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee. 56. Abner Taylor SCOTT. Born on 24 Aug 1849. At the age of 71, Abner Taylor died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 8 Jan 1921. On 9 Jan 1870 when Abner Taylor was 20, he married Elizabeth Jane ROARK, daughter of Amos ROARK (1822-1862) & Louisa PARSON, in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born on 8 Nov 1850. At the age of 72, Elizabeth Jane died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 3 Aug 1923. Buried in 1923 in Sellers Hill Cemetery, Clarksburg, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee.
