Family of John H. WALL (6) & Tabitha Talley THOMAS

23. Martha E. WALL. Born on 1 Jul 1835 in Virginia. At the age of 68, Martha E. died on 16 Jan 1904. Buried in 1904 in Family Plot, 1/4 mile North of Roans Creek Church, Clarksburg, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1850.

On 27 Apr 1853 when Martha E. was 17, she married John D. BRANDON, son of John BRANDON (1798-1858) & Abigail SCOTT (1803-1859), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born on 25 Dec 1828 in Tennessee. Buried in Brandon Cemetery, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1850.

Military: John D. Brandon served as a Corporal in Company G, 7th Tennessee Cavalry (US).

John Brandon and wife, Martha J. Wall, were living in the 9th District, Henderson County, Tennessee, in 1870.

John D Brandon reenlisted into Company G, 2nd Mounted Infantry after his first one year enlistment. He was born Dec 25, 1828. He lived in Illinois for a few months after discharge. His wife Martha was a helpless invalid for 26 years.


They had the following children:
i. John H.. Born in 1855 in Tennessee.

On 24 Dec 1875 when John H. was 20, he married J. E. TUCKER, in Carroll County, Tennessee.

24. Margaret B. WALL. Born about 1838 in Virginia. Resided in 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1850.

On 28 Aug 1855 when Margaret B. was 17, she married James Irvin BARGER, son of Henry W. BARGER (1787-) & Mary BRUNER (1791-), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born in 1833 in Tennessee. Resided in 9th District, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1850. Alias/AKA: "Jim".

They had the following children:
i. Irvin B.. Born about 1857 in Henderson County, Tennessee.

ii. Amy F.. Born about 1859 in Henderson County, Tennessee.


25. William H. WALL. Born on 4 Aug 1840 in Virginia. At the age of 85, William H. died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 30 May 1926. Buried in 1926 in Roans Creek Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1850.

Military: . William H. served in Company G, US Tennessee Mounted Infantry, US, during the American Civil War

William H. married Alice HARE, daughter of John Banks HARE (1816-1900) & Emmarelia STANFORD (1821-1876). Born on 3 Aug 1846 in Tennessee. At the age of 45, Alice died in Tennessee on 5 Aug 1891. Buried in 1891 in Hare Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

They had the following children:
i. M.A. Born in 1868. At the age of 8, M.A died in 1876. Buried in 1876 in Hare Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

ii. Infant. Born on 28 Aug 1870. Infant died on 28 Aug 1870. Buried in Aug 1870 in Hare Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

iv. E.T.. Born on 7 Sep 1874. E.T. died on 30 Oct 1874. Buried in Oct 1874 in Hare Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

76 v. Lem J. (1876-1918)
vi. Infant. Born on 20 Jan 1880. Infant died on 20 Jan 1880. Buried in Jan 1880 in Hare Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

vii. Infant. Born on 1 Dec 1881. Infant died on 1 Dec 1881. Buried in Dec 1881 in Hare Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

26. Johnny Oliver WALL. Born about 1843 in Virginia. Buried in New Liberty Church Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1850.

Military: Served in Company G, 2nd Tennessee Mounted Infantry during the American
Civil War.

On 7 Jan 1870 when Johnny Oliver was 27, he married Martha Isabelle GROGAN, daughter of Rice Ross GROGAN (1819-1891) & Mary Emily LUCAS (1823-1891), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born on 10 Nov 1849 in Tennessee. At the age of 88, Martha Isabelle died in Carroll County, Tennessee in 1938.

They had the following children:

Rebecca Ann married Nathaniel J. TILSON. Born in 1827 in Tennessee. Resided in 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1860. Alias/AKA: "Jim".

They had the following children:

28. Henry Clay WALL. Born on 18 Oct 1847 in Tennessee. At the age of 66, Henry Clay died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 30 Apr 1914. Buried in 1914 in Wall Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1850.

On 29 Oct 1871 when Henry Clay was 24, he married Dephia Ann FLAKE, daughter of Dudley L. FLAKE (1815-1863) & Cynthia Anne HOWARD (1822-1872), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born on 1 May 1852 in Tennessee. At the age of 81, Dephia Ann died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 17 Feb 1934. Buried in Wall Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

29. Thomas Green WALL. Born in 1849 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 81, Thomas Green died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 8 Apr 1930. Buried in Apr 1930 in Wall Cemetery, Clarksburg, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1850.

Thomas Green first married Frances F. OLIVE, daughter of Howell OLIVE (1814-1888) & Ann LYON (1822-). Born in 1855 in Tennessee. At the age of 17, Frances F. died on 11 Nov 1872.

They had one child:
90 i. Johnny Howell (1873-1957)

On 12 May 1875 when Thomas Green was 26, he second married Martha CARRINGTON, daughter of John D. CARRINGTON (1826-) & Nancy A. ? (1829-). At the age of 29, Martha died on 11 Jul 1880. Born in 1851.

91 i. Frances E. (1877-1962)

On 10 Oct 1880 when Thomas Green was 31, he third married Nancy Triona CARRINGTON, daughter of John D. CARRINGTON (1826-) & Nancy A. ? (1829-). Born in 1851 in Tennessee. At the age of 40, Nancy Triona died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 22 Apr 1891. Buried in Apr 1891 in Wall Cemetery, Clarksburg, Carroll County, Tennessee.

On 1 May 1873 when Mary L. was 21, she first married A. E. HOLMES, in Carroll County, Tennessee.

On 24 Dec 1876 when Mary L. was 24, she second married James Allen TOSH, son of William Harlan TOSH ( 1828-) & Elizabeth WILSON ( 1830-), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born in 1853 in Tennessee.

They had the following children:
i. Mary L. (Step Child of Husband). Born in 1874 in Tennessee.

ii. Willie A.. Born in 1879.
