2. Joseph H. TUCKER. Born about 1815 in Raleigh, Wake County, North Carolina. At the age of 75, Joseph H. died in Carroll County, Tennessee in 1890. Resided in 12th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1860. Resided in 7th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1870.

Will: Will of Joseph H. Tucker, deceased

I, Joseph H. Tucker, of the county of Carroll and state of Tennessee, mindful of uncertainty of human life, do make, publish, and declare this my last will and testament in manner following. First, after the payment of my just debts and funeral expenses, I give, devise and bequeath unto my wife Martha Caroline Tucker, also my son P.A. Tucker, all my stock, consisting of two head of horses, two cows and calves, yoke of oxen, wagon, twenty or more head of hogs; also all of my farming tools, all household and kitchen furniture. Secondly, I give and devise and bequeath unto my wife Martha Caroline Tucker, all of my real estate, consisting of about two hundred and seventy acres, being the farm and home I now live on, during her natural life, and then and after, in fee simple, to my youngest son P.A. Tucker. Third, in the separation of my first family, consisting of my first wife Nanney Tucker, and sons Alexander Tucker, Mc A. Tucker, George A. Tucker, Haywood Tucker, and Hilliard, I did and then at that time give to them in personal property, consisting of horses, cattle, hogs, sheep, pork and household goods, lot of corn in value between three and eight hundred. Fourth, I hereby nominate and appoint W.C. Forbess, the Executor of this my last will and testament, and hereby authorize and empower him, the said W.C. Forbess, to compound, compromise and settle any claims or demands which may be against or in favor of my said estate. In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand seal this 11th day of August 1887.

In 1834 when Joseph H. was 19, he first married Naomi JOHNSON, daughter of Stephen JOHNSON (1790-1857) & Mary KYTLE (1790-1880), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born on 20 Oct 1817 in Greenville District, South Carolina. At the age of 66, Naomi died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 13 Oct 1884. Buried in Oct 1884 in Blair Cemetery, Clarksburg, Carroll County, Tennessee. Religion: Member of Williams Chapel Church of Christ, Clarksburg, Carroll County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Oma". They were divorced.

Naomi Johnson Tucker was living with her son, Mack Allison Tucker, in the Second District, Benton County, Tennessee, in 1870.

They had the following children:

iv. Joseph R.. Born in 1841 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 21, Joseph R. died in Camp Douglas, Chicago, Illinois on 4 May 1862.

On 25 Feb 1866 when Joseph H. was 51, he second married Martha Caroline BLACK, daughter of Jacob Hollingsworth BLACK (1821-1905) & Serena Emiline JOLLY (1822-1878), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born in Apr 1845. Resided in 7th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1870.

They had one child:
14 i. Priestly Allen (1871-1953)

3. William TUCKER. Born about 1822 in North Carolina. Resided in 12th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1860. Resided in 7th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1870.

William married Mary ?. Born about 1823 in North Carolina. Resided in 12th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1860. Resided in 7th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1870.

They had the following children:
i. Rebecca C.. Born about 1848 in Tennessee. Resided in 12th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1860. Resided in 7th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1870.

ii. Augustus. Born in 1850 in Tennessee.

iii. Martha E.. Born about 1852. Resided in 12th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1860. Resided in 7th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1870.


4. Augustus R. TUCKER. Born on 11 Nov 1829 in North Carolina. At the age of 84, Augustus R. died on 29 Jan 1914. Buried in Jan 1914 in Sellers Hill Cemetery, Clarksburg, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in 12th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1860. Resided in 12th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1900.

Was living with his mother in the 12th District, Carroll County, Tennessee, in 1850.

On 13 Feb 1851 when Augustus R. was 21, he married Minerva Ann LAWS, daughter of Hiram LAWS (1803-1879) & Jincy Ann SIMS (1807-1873), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born on 3 Dec 1827 in Maury County, Tennessee. At the age of 86, Minerva Ann died on 1 Mar 1914. Buried in Mar 1914 in Sellers Hill Cemetery, Clarksburg, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in 12th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1860.

They had the following children:
i. Rubin. Born on 29 Jul 1853.

ii. Bengaman. Born on 29 Jul 1853.

iii. Samuel Emerson Laws. Born on 30 Sep 1855. At the age of 91, Samuel Emerson Laws died on 4 Jan 1947. Buried in Jan 1947 in Sellers Hill Cemetery, Clarksburg, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in 12th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1860.

iv. Mordecia Alvin. Born on 10 May 1858.

v. Octava Lillian. Born on 12 Apr 1860.

Octava Lillian married Major Gilbert HOLLADAY, son of Stephen Carroll HOLLADAY (1816-1877) & Emaline M. CRIDER (1821-1898). Born on 9 Dec 1857 in Carroll County, Tennessee. Major Gilbert died in Oklahoma.

15 vi. Albert Sidney (1862-1935)
vii. Sida Ann. Born on 4 Jul 1862.

16 viii. Beverly Allen (1865-1916)
ix. Augustus. Born on 2 Feb 1865.

x. Manerva. Born in 1866.


5. Rebecca Daniel TUCKER. Born on 30 Oct 1812 in North Carolina. At the age of 51, Rebecca Daniel died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 6 May 1864. Buried in May 1864 in Hampton Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in 12th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1860.

In Dec 1835 when Rebecca Daniel was 23, she married William Aire CRIDER, son of Henry S. CRIDER (1781-1853) & Permelia LEE (1785-1849). Born on 11 Nov 1812 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. At the age of 71, William Aire died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 5 Oct 1884. Buried in Oct 1884 in Hampton Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

They had the following children:
i. Frances E.. Born in Dec 1836 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 30, Frances E. died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 12 May 1867. Buried in May 1867 in Hampton Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

17 ii. Martha Ann (1839-1920)
18 iii. Milton Harrison (1841-1930)
iv. Mary E.. Born on 18 Jan 1843 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 61, Mary E. died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 6 Jan 1905. Buried in Jan 1905 in Hampton Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

v. Henry Clay. Born on 14 Sep 1847 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 56, Henry Clay died in Gainesville, Texas on 17 Mar 1904.

Henry Clay married Mary Angeline STEELE. Born about 1848.
