At the age of 75, William Alvin died in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee on 23 Sep 2005. Buried on 26 Sep 2005 in Christian Chapel Church of Christ Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee in Jan 2004. Alias/AKA: "Billy".
Obituary: Mr. William Alvin "Billy" Sellers, 75, of Huntingdon, Tennessee, passed away Friday, September 23, 2005 at his home. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, September 26, 2005 at 2:00 PM at the Christian Chapel Church of Christ. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Bro. David Sellers will officiate at the service. The family will receive friends in the Cherry Wood Room of Chase Funeral Home after 6:00 PM on Saturday, all day on Sunday, and from 8:00 AM until time of departure for the church on Monday. Pallbearers who will serve are Trevor Haywood, Ben Sellers, Matt Sellers, Logan Sellers, Dennis Bush, and Jackie Parham. The honorary pallbearer will be Joe Whitson. Mr. Sellers was born May 23, 1930 in Carroll County, Tennessee to the late Alvin Thomas Sellers and Fannie Mae Sellers. He was a logger, sawmill operator, and a truck driver before he retired, a member of the Christian Chapel Church of Christ and a Korean War Army Veteran. He was also preceded in death by his twin infant sons, James Loyd Sellers and Jackie Doyle Sellers, one half sister, Mattie King and two half brothers, Ray Sellers and Arthur Williams. He is survived by his wife (whom he married on August 9, 1947), Nellie (Eskew) Sellers; one daughter, Sherry Haywood (husband Patrick) of Huntingdon; four sons, Dennis Sellers (wife Laura) of Goodlettsville, Mike Sellers (wife Teresa) of Lexington, and Terry Sellers (wife Tammy) and Doug Sellers (Marcia) both of Huntingdon; four sisters, Dorothy Martin, Gertie Dunn and Nellie Myers all of Cedar Grove and Shelby Laws of Palestine, Illinois; one half sister, Mildred Gregg of Huntingdon and three brothers, Thomas Sellers of Huntingdon, George Sellers of Cedar Grove and Dean Sellers of Huntingdon. He also leaves nine grandchildren, Trevor Haywood, Audrey Haywood, Ben Sellers, Caroline Sellers, Matt Sellers, Katie Sellers, Logan Sellers, Megan Sellers and Rachel Sellers.
