155. Arthur Ray AZBILL. Born on 21 Apr 1905 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 67, Arthur Ray died in Jackson, Madison County, Tennessee on 21 Jan 1973. Buried in Jan 1973 in New Hope Cemetery, Yuma, Carroll County, Tennessee.

Arthur Ray married Augusta TAYLOR, daughter of Samuel Lee TAYLOR & Susan Arzolia GIBSON. Born on 25 Aug 1917 in Decatur County, Tennessee. At the age of 88, Augusta died in Homestead, Florida on 19 Sep 2005. Buried on 24 Sep 2005 in New Hope Cemetery, Yuma, Carroll County, Tennessee.

Obituary: Funeral services for Augusta Day Cary, 88, will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 24, 2005 in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors. Burial will follow in the New Hope Cemetery near Yuma, TN. Mrs. Cary died on Monday, September 19, 2005 in Homestead, FL. Mrs. Cary was born in Decatur County, TN on August 25, 1917, the daughter of the late Samuel Lee and Susan Arzolia Gibson Taylor. She was a retired weaver with the Bemis Cotton Mill and was a member of the Cedar Grove Church of Christ. She was first married to Arthur Ray Azbill, who preceded her in death and later to William Rayburon Cary who also preceded her in death. Mrs. Cary is survived by three sons, Dr. Homer A. Cary of McDonough, GA, James W. Cary of Martin, TN and Dr. Lloyd H. Cary of Wickenburg, AZ; four daughters, Shelby Jean Warren of Homestead, FL, Jane Lee Cearley of San Antonia, TX, Helen Baker of Jackson, TN and Bonnie C. Cummings of Jackson, TN; a sister, Opal Mae Robinson of Brownsville, TN; thirteen grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be James Cearley, Douglas Warren, James Azbill, Dennis Hays, Creager Brown and James Cary. The family will be receiving friends on Friday September 23, 2005 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Arrington Funeral Directors.

i. Donald Ray. Born in 1943. Buried in New Hope Cemetery, Yuma, Carroll County, Tennessee.

ii. Jane Lee. Resided in San Antonio, Texas in Sep 2005.

Jane Lee married James CEARLEY.


156. O.C. AZBILL. Born on 31 Aug 1915 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 69, O.C. died on 3 Dec 1984. Buried in Dec 1984 in Highland Memorial Gardens, Jackson, Madison County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Bob".

O.C. married Sue FROMAN, daughter of Charles F. FROMAN (1885-1965) & Ruby MARSH (1887-1965).

They had the following children:
i. Bobbie Ruth.

ii. Tommy Neil.

iii. Kevin Wade.


157. Jessie Carl AZBILL. Born on 16 Nov 1915. At the age of 73, Jessie Carl died in Jackson, Madison County, Tennessee on 5 Apr 1989.

Jessie Carl married Robbie Lois COOPER (270) , daughter of Ethan COOPER & Lela Gray TODD (115) (1885-1960). Born on 6 Apr 1915 in Clarksburg, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 87, Robbie Lois died in Jackson, Madison County, Tennessee on 8 Apr 2002. Buried on 10 Apr 2002 in Highland Memorial Gardens, Jackson, Madison County, Tennessee.

Obituary: Funeral services for Mrs. Robbie Lois Azbill, 87, will be held Wednesday, April 10, 2002, at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home with Rev. Pat Kough and Rev. Randy Rinehart officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Azbill died Monday morning, April 8, 2002, at Northbrooke Health Care Center. She was the daughter of the late Ether R. and Lela Gray Todd Cooper and was born in Clarksburg, Tennessee. She was an employee of Bemis Cotton Mill for thirty-two years and was a member of West Jackson Baptist Church. Mrs. Azbill was preceded in death April 5, 1989 by her husband Jessie Carl Azbill and by a sister, Pearl Rush, and a brother, Johnnie Cooper. Survivors include two daughters, Thelma Carpenter of Jackson and Maybell Butler of Crockett Mills, TN and one son, James L. (Jim) Azbill of Jackson, eleven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren. Grandsons, Daryl Azbill, Kelly Azbill, Russell Emerson, Brad Butler, Chris Peterson and Hugh Butler, will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M.
