3. William P. SPRINGER. Born in 1822 in Alabama. Resided in 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1850. Resided in 24th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1880. Religion: Member of Williams Chapel Church of Christ, Clarksburg, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee.

On 18 Oct 1847 when William P. was 25, he married Susan Jane SCOTT, daughter of John L SCOTT Junior (1797-) & Rebecca BRANDON (1804-), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born about 1830 in Tennessee. Resided in 24th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1880. Religion: Member of Williams Chapel Church of Christ, Clarksburg, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee.

They had the following children:
10 i. Millard T. (1848-1922)
11 ii. Margaret Matilda (1852-1932)
iii. Rutha R.. Born about 1856 in Tennessee. Resided in 12th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1870.

4. Thomas SPRINGER. Born in 1826. At the age of 23, Thomas died in Carroll County, Tennessee in Nov 1849.

On 15 Feb 1846 when Thomas was 20, he married Zelpha Ann GULLEDGE, daughter of Jeptha GULLEDGE (1801-1842) & Catherine SELLERS (1806-1855), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born on 1 Mar 1829 in Tennessee. At the age of 80, Zelpha Ann died aft 1910.

Zelpha was living with her inlaws, Uriah Springer and Ruth Belew Springer, in 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1870.

They had the following children:

14 ii. Thomas (1850-)

5. Jason SPRINGER. Born in 1830 in Clarksburg, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in 12th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1860.

Military: Served in the American Civil War.

On 12 Nov 1853 when Jason was 23, he married Matilda Jane SCOTT, daughter of Chronicle F. SCOTT (1801-1880) & Jane BRANDON (1811-), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born in Sep 1832 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 90, Matilda Jane died in Macon Community, Franklin County, Texas in May 1923. Resided in 12th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1900.

Settled in Titus County, Texas, in 1901.

They had the following children:

16 ii. Winnie Frances (1861-1950)

6. Rennie Bennett SPRINGER. Born on 4 Oct 1836. At the age of 65, Rennie Bennett died on 9 Jan 1902. Buried in Jan 1902 in Sellers Hill Cemetery, Clarksburg, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1870. Resided in 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1880. Occupation: Cabinet maker. Alias/AKA: "Kenny".

Was a member of Company G, 7th Cavalry (US) during the American Civil War.

In 1885, provided labor to the building of the Poplar Springs Church of Christ/School in 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee.

Rennie Bennett married Clementine SELLERS. Born in 1843 in Tennessee. Resided in 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1880.

They had one child:
17 i. Caleb (1866-1942)

7. Hosea SPRINGER. Born in 1839 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 69, Hosea died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 20 Mar 1908. Buried in Mar 1908 in Sellers Hill Cemetery, Clarksburg, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee.

Served in Company G, 7th Cavalry (US) during the American Civil War.

On 8 Nov 1865 when Hosea was 26, he first married Mary C. SELLERS, in Carroll County, Tennessee.

They had the following children:
18 i. Monroe M. (1866-1892)
ii. Hiram. Born in 1868. Buried in Sellers Hill Cemetery, Clarksburg, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee.


about 1869 when Hosea was 30, he second married Nancy C. SIMPSON, in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born in 1837 in Tennessee.

They had the following children:
19 i. John D. (1870-1946)
ii. Joe M.. Born in 1872.

20 iii. Henry Hosea (1873-1959)
iv. Urias S.. Born in 1879.


On 24 Aug 1882 when Hosea was 43, he third married Telitha SIMPSON, daughter of Ezekiel SIMPSON (1806-1870) & Mary ? (1806-1882), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born on 28 Mar 1835 in Tennessee. At the age of 62, Telitha died on 21 Aug 1897. Buried in Aug 1897 in Sellers Hill Cemetery, Clarksburg, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1880.

8. James M. SPRINGER. Born on 14 May 1843. At the age of 42, James M. died on 25 Aug 1885. Buried in Aug 1885 in Sellers Hill Cemetery, Clarksburg, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1880.

Gave the land to build the Poplar Springs Church of Christ/School in 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee.

On 13 Nov 1867 when James M. was 24, he married Mary Elizabeth LAWS, daughter of Hiram LAWS (1803-1879) & Jincy Ann SIMS (1807-1873). Born on 30 Jun 1842 in Tennessee. At the age of 42, Mary Elizabeth died on 25 Nov 1884. Buried in Nov 1884 in Sellers Hill Cemetery, Clarksburg, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1880. Alias/AKA: "Oma".

They had one child:
i. Charles H.. Born in 1869 in Tennessee. Resided in 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1880. Alias/AKA: "Charlie".


9. Triona SPRINGER. Born in 1846 in Tennessee. At the age of 79, Triona died on 12 Apr 1925. Resided in Clarksburg, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1880.

On 6 Dec 1865 when Triona was 19, she married Andrew STEWART. Born in 1843 in Illinois. Resided in Clarksburg, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1880. Alias/AKA: "Andy".
