39. William Hardy SMITH. Born in 1865 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 69, William Hardy died in 1934. Buried in 1934 in Lebanon Cemetery, Madison County, Tennessee. Resided in 6th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1920. Alias/AKA: "Hardy".

On 31 Dec 1882 when William Hardy was 17, he married Roxie Ann JAMES, daughter of James L. JAMES (1841-1912) & Haryann BARROW (1842-1910). Born on 3 Dec 1865. At the age of 92, Roxie Ann died in Madison County, Tennessee in 1958. Buried in 1958 in Lebanon Cemetery, Madison County, Tennessee. Resided in 6th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1920. Resided in District One, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1870.

They had the following children:

John H. married Leona M. ?. Born in 1875 in Tennessee.

They had the following children:

ii. Wylie F.. Born in Sep 1896.

iii. Laura S.. Born in Jan 1899.


41. Martha C. SMITH. Born in Jan 1868. At the age of 84, Martha C. died in 1953. Buried in 1953 in Spain Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in 1st District, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1910. Alias/AKA: "Matt".

Martha C. married Kenzie D. SMITH (21) , son of James Willie SMITH (6) (1833-) & Nancy M. LUCAS (1836-). Born in Nov 1857. At the age of 69, Kenzie D. died in 1927. Buried in 1927 in Spain Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in 1st District, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1910.

They had the following children:
i. Frances Thomas. Born on 16 Jun 1885. At the age of 14, Frances Thomas died on 8 May 1900. Buried in May 1900 in Spain Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

On 2 Sep 1925 when Orvis O. was 30, he married Dovie E. ?. Born on 29 Jan 1904. At the age of 81, Dovie E. died on 24 Feb 1985. Buried in Feb 1985 in Hickory Flat Cemetery, Cedar Grove, Carroll County, Tennessee.

vi. John Oliver. Born on 12 Nov 1899. At the age of 20, John Oliver died on 9 Feb 1920. Buried in Feb 1920 in Spain Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in 1st District, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1910. Alias/AKA: "Oliver".

vii. Alton. Born on 24 May 1902. At the age of 17, Alton died on 3 Mar 1920. Buried in 1920 in Spain Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

viii. Infant. Born in 1904. Infant died in 1904. Buried in 1904 in Spain Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

ix. Infant. Born in 1906. Infant died in 1906. Buried in 1906 in Spain Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

x. Otis.

Otis Smith was living in Gibson County, Tennessee, with his wife and numerous children probably around 1940-1950.


42. Emily Elizabeth SMITH. Born in 1869 in Tennessee. At the age of 74, Emily Elizabeth died in 1943. Buried in 1943 in Spain Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Bettie".

Emily Elizabeth first married ? WOODWARD.

They had the following children:
i. Frank. Born in 1897 in Tennessee. At the age of 51, Frank died in 1948. Buried in 1948 in Spain Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

Frank Woodward resided in Henderson County, Tennessee in 1920 with his mother and step-father.

Frank married Katie JAMES, daughter of William Thomas JAMES (1860-1925) & Dissie J. WILLIS (1865-1945). Born on 19 Jul 1902 in Tennessee. Buried in Spain Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

ii. Opal. Born about 1904 in Tennessee.

Resided in Carroll County, Tennessee in 1920 with grandparent (Frances M. Smith and his second wife).


On 14 Feb 1909 when Emily Elizabeth was 40, she second married Tom B. REPLOGLE, in Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in Tennessee about 1861.

They had the following children:
i. Beatrice.

ii. Homer.

iii. Talmage.


43. Nancy A. SMITH. Born in 1875. At the age of 66, Nancy A. died in 1941. Buried in 1941 in Spain Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in 1st District, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1910.

Nancy A. first married Lewis Thomas JAMES, son of James L. JAMES (1841-1912) & Haryann BARROW (1842-1910). Born on 3 Dec 1866 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 79, Lewis Thomas died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 25 Feb 1946. Buried in Feb 1946 in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in District One, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1870.

They had one child:
i. Sherman. Born on 30 Nov 1891. Sherman died on 19 Dec 1891. Buried in Dec 1891 in James Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.


Nancy A. second married T. Peter JAMES, son of James L. JAMES (1841-1912) & Haryann BARROW (1842-1910). Born on 19 Feb 1870 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 69, T. Peter died in 1940. Buried in 1940 in Hopewell Cemetery, Medina, Gibson County, Tennessee. Resided in District One, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1870.

Nancy A. third married Sug LOVELL.

Nancy A. fourth married William A. STRATTON, son of Samuel STRATTON (1804-1873) & Jane LEMONS (1807-1881). Born on 25 Nov 1829 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 85, William A. died on 9 Dec 1914. Buried in Dec 1914 in Independence Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in 1st District, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1910.

Nancy A. fifth married William HARRELL. Born in 1878. Buried in Spain Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Will".
