43. Sam LEWIS. Born in 1908 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 74, Sam died in 1982. Buried in 1982 in Lexington Cemetery, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee.

Died in automobile accident.

Sam married Ruby BLANKENSHIP, daughter of John William BLANKENSHIP (1885-1949) & Eugenia ALTOM (7 Feb 1890-12 Nov 1915). Born in 1909. At the age of 73, Ruby died in 1982. Buried in 1982 in Lexington Cemetery, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee.

44. James Thomas LEWIS. Born in 1909 in Henderson County, Tennessee.

James Thomas married Ruth ROSE.

They had the following children:
i. Rose Marie.

45. Nealie Patrick LEWIS. Born in 1913 in Henderson County, Tennessee.

Nealie Patrick married Lizzie OVERMAN. Born in 1913. At the age of 65, Lizzie died in 1978.

They had the following children:

Clara Dell married Clyde WILLIS.

ii. Larry Neal. Resided in Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee in Aug 2006.

46. George Houston LEWIS. Born on 15 Nov 1914 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 95, George Houston died in Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee on 19 Feb 2010. Buried on 21 Feb 2010 in Lewis Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

Obituary: Funeral services for Mr. George Houston Lewis, age 95, are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Sunday, February 21, 2010 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home with Charles Thomason and P. J. Hardy officiating. Burial will follow in Lexington-Lewis Cemetery. Mr. Lewis passed away early Friday in Lexington. He was born November 15, 1914 in Henderson County to the late Cleo Patrick and Mary Evelyn Murren Lewis. He was a U. S. Army Veteran, serving in the 329 Infantry during WWII. He was a retired maintenance worker for Lexington Hospital and a member of Broad Street Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Ruth Azbill Lewis. Survivors include his daughter, Judy Richardson of Lexington, his brother, Mr. Bob Lewis of Christian Chapel, three sisters, Eva Terry and Bertha Stevens of Lexington, and Martha Durall of Daleville, AL, three grandchildren, Greg Richardson, Andy (Jeannie) Richardson, and Mary Beth (Marty) Goff, and seven great grandchildren, Chelsea, Molly, Forrest, Joseph, Shelby, Drew, and Presley.


In 1946 when George Houston was 31, he married Ruth AZBILL, daughter of Will Vestal AZBILL (29 Aug 1888-21 May 1961) & Estlee HATCHETT (29 May 1891-15 Jan 1950). Born on 20 Jan 1912 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 90, Ruth died in 2003. Buried in 2003 in Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee.

They had one child:
i. Judy Ann.


47. Mary LEWIS. Born in 1916 in Henderson County, Tennessee.

Mary married Curtis HATCH.

They had the following children:
i. Cleo.

ii. Lucy.

iii. Linda.

iv. Johnny.

v. Charles.


48. Robert Anthony LEWIS. Born on 18 Dec 1918 in Henderson County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Bob".

Robert Anthony married Adeaide LINDSEY. Born on 24 Apr 1920.

They had the following children:
i. Shelida France.

ii. Deborah Ann.

iii. Amanda Evelyn.
