Mary Jane married Robert D. MURREN. Born around 1825 in Tennessee.

They had the following children:

5. Daniel Willis SMALL. Born on 4 Aug 1833 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 78, Daniel Willis died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 31 Dec 1911. Buried in Dec 1911 in Hare Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in District 15, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1860. Resided in District 15, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1870. Resided in District 3, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1910.

On 27 Feb 1855 when Daniel Willis was 21, he married Rachel Ann ALTOM, daughter of Spencer ALTOM (1784-1880) & Christina SHIPMAN (9 Jul 1786-12 Oct 1889). Born on 3 Feb 1833 in Tennessee. At the age of 74, Rachel Ann died on 10 May 1907. Buried in May 1907 in Hare Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in District 15, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1860. Resided in District 15, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1870.

v. Daniel S.. Born on 2 Oct 1862 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 71, Daniel S. died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 16 Apr 1934. Buried in Apr 1934 in Memphis, Shelby County, Tennessee. Resided in District 3, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1910. Alias/AKA: "Dan".

14 vi. Rebecca Jane (1865-1904)
vii. Andrew Jackson. Born on 25 Jun 1868 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 55, Andrew Jackson died on 28 Feb 1924. Buried in Feb 1924 in Phoenix, Arizona.

On 17 Jan 1889 when Andrew Jackson was 20, he married Annie Wilson GRIGGS.

6. John Wesley SMALL. Born on 7 Sep 1841 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 45, John Wesley died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 10 Aug 1887. Buried in Aug 1887 in Hare Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in District 15, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1860. Resided in District 15, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1870.

Military: Served in Confederate Army. Enlisted in infantry at Henderson, TN under Capt John Howard, Commander. Reached rank of Corporal; captured at battle Of Island No. Ten, taken to Camp Douglas in Chicago, as a POW. After taking "The Oath", he was sent to Vicksburg Mississippi as part of a prisoner Exchange. Returned home, bought land near by and raised a large family. After all his children were born he traded farms with  Elijah DERRYBERRY for one just over the county line in Carroll County TN (northeast of Yuma about 1 mile). This farm was about 20 Miles west of the Tennessee river, five miles east of the town of Clarksburg, and near what was later the railroad town of Yuma, TN. The name Of Grovewood was given to the community and later changed to Yuma On February 18, 1895. He was married three times. Buried in the Hare Cemetery next to his father . Marble Headstone.

John Wesley first married Nancy Jane WOOD, daughter of Henry Sanders WOOD (13 Feb 1824-29 Dec 1903) & Nancy Jane ALTOM (1 Jan 1818-7 Feb 1892). Born on 19 Jan 1844 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 25, Nancy Jane died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 22 Apr 1869.

They had the following children:
i. William Thomas. Born in 1868 in Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in District 15, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1870. Alias/AKA: "Tom".

ii. Mary Jane. Born in 1867 in Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in District 15, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1870. Alias/AKA: "Mary".

iii. Alexander. Born in 1868 in Henderson County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Alex".


John Wesley second married Sarah Ann Margaret LOVELL, daughter of William LOVELL (1823-) & Margaret A. RIDINGS (1829-). Born in 1850 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 33, Sarah Ann Margaret died in Henderson County, Tennessee in Dec 1883. Resided in District 15, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1870.

They had the following children:
i. Margaret Ann. Born on 21 Aug 1870 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 15, Margaret Ann died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 6 Aug 1886. Buried in Aug 1886 in Lovell Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

ii. Ada Gree. Born on 27 Sep 1873 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 51, Ada Gree died in Texas on 1 Dec 1924. Buried in Dec 1924 in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Fort Worth, Texas. Resided in District 14, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1900.

vi. Homer E.. Born on 25 Jul 1879 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 7, Homer E. died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 4 Sep 1886. Buried in Sep 1886 in Blair Cemetery, Clarksburg, Carroll County, Tennessee.

John Wesley third married Virginia Ophelia ROSS. Born in 1842 in Mississippi. Buried in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Fort Worth, Texas. Resided in District 14, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1900. Alias/AKA: "Jennie".
