20. Robert Ebron SIMPSON. Born on 26 Sep 1908. At the age of 65, Robert Ebron died on 14 Sep 1974. Buried in Sep 1974 in Hampton Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Ebron".

On 13 May 1928 when Robert Ebron was 19, he first married Cicly KINCANNON, in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born in 1906. At the age of 26, Cicly died on 8 Jan 1932. Buried in Jan 1932 in Hampton Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

On 3 Dec 1932 when Robert Ebron was 24, he second married Velma Vernon TAYLOR, in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born on 19 Jan 1916. At the age of 63, Velma Vernon died on 14 Apr 1979. Buried in Apr 1979 in Hampton Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

They had the following children:
i. Velma Dean. Born on 19 Dec 1933. At the age of 3, Velma Dean died on 7 Dec 1937. Buried in Dec 1937 in Hampton Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

ii. Charles E.. Born on 24 Dec 1939. At the age of 40, Charles E. died on 13 Aug 1980. Buried in Aug 1980 in Hampton Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

iii. Bobby Gene. Born on 1 Jan 1944. Bobby Gene died on 4 Mar 1944. Buried in Mar 1944 in Hampton Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.


21. Lura SIMPSON. Born in 1911.

Lura married William Curtis McDOWELL Senior.

22. Olivia SIMPSON. Born on 15 Oct 1915 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 86, Olivia died in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee on 12 Jul 2002. Buried in Jul 2002 in Hampton Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

Obituary: Olivia Simpson Bridges, 86, of Huntingdon, died Friday, July 12, at the Huntingdon Health and Rehabilitation Center. Services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 14, at Concord Missionary Baptist Church. Brother Lynn Stapleton and Brother Rufus Chandler officiated. Burial followed at Hampton Cemetery. Pallbearers who served were Allen Simpson, Darrell Hensley, Dennis Simpson, Mark Simpson, David Simpson, Jimmy Dale Simpson and Ricky Simpson. Dilday Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Bridges, the daughter of the late Stephen Robert and Pearl Cross Simpson, was born October 15, 1915, in Carroll County. She was a retired employee for Henry I. Siegel and a member of the Concord Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Onnie Claude Simpson, who passed away in 1940, and her second husband, Raymond Bridges, who passed away April 7, 1992; a sister, Lura McDowell; and four brothers, Ebron Simpson, Earnest Simpson, Aaron Simpson and Paul Simpson. She is survived by two sons, Robert C. Simpson of Santa Ana, California, and Audie P. Simpson of Huntingdon; two stepdaughters, Shirley Wyatt and Martha Luther, both of Huntingdon; a sister, Ruth Davis of Huntingdon; eight grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.



Olivia first married Onnie Claude SIMPSON (18) , son of John Priestly SIMPSON (13) (1883-1914) & Anna May BRIDGES (1883-1968). Born on 30 Dec 1905 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 34, Onnie Claude died on 19 Oct 1940. Buried in Oct 1940 in Sellers Hill Cemetery, Clarksburg, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in District 13, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1930.

They had the following children:
i. Robert C. Resided in Santa Ana, California in Jul 2002.

ii. Audie P. Resided in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee in Jul 2002.


On 23 Jun 1974 when Olivia was 58, she second married Raymond Addison BRIDGES, son of Lee Osco BRIDGES (1879-1964) & Suda Adale HAMPTON (1894-1986). Born on 18 Dec 1914. At the age of 77, Raymond Addison died on 7 Apr 1992. Buried in Apr 1992 in Hampton Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

23. Thomas Aaron SIMPSON. Born in 1919.

In 1941 when Thomas Aaron was 22, he married Alice Elizabeth MORRISETT, daughter of James Carroll MORRISETT (1885-1965) & Matilda Jane HAMPTON (1888-), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born in 1920 in Tennnessee. Resided in District 24, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1930.

They had the following children:
i. Jerry.

Jimmy married Nancy WILLIAMS, daughter of George WILLIAMS & Frances EUBANK.

24. Paul Homer SIMPSON. Born on 5 Nov 1923 in Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee in May 2001.

Paul Homer married Minnie Jane ROBERTS, daughter of Henry Cecil ROBERTS (1897-1975) & Lora Mae HATCH (1903-1998). Born on 2 Dec 1931. Resided in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee in Apr 2004.

They had the following children:
i. Janice Pearl. Born on 26 Apr 1952.

ii. Judy Mae. Born on 6 Oct 1953.


25. Ruth SIMPSON.

Ruth married James Cleavie DAVIS, son of Will DAVIS & Fannie SHACKELFORD. Born on 27 May 1921 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 83, James Cleavie died in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee on 21 Aug 2004. Buried on 23 Aug 2004 in Concord Church Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee in Sep 2000. Alias/AKA: "Cleavie".

Obituary: Mr. James Cleavie Davis, 83, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Saturday, August 21, 2004 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, August 23, 2004 at 3:00 p.m. at the Concord Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Bro. Rufus Chandler and Bro. Derrick Jowers will officiate the service. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Ruth (Simpson) Davis; two daughters, Shirley Capps (husband Larry) of Lexington and Becky Floyd (husband Dean) of Westport; one son, Stephen Davis of Huntingdon; and one sister, Estelee Scott of Lexington. He also leaves eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Obituary: HUNTINGDON: Services for James Cleavie Davis, 83, were conducted on Monday, August 23 at 3:00 p.m. at the Concord Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Rufus Chandler and Bro. Derrick Jowers officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Mr. Davis died on Saturday, August 21 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon. He was born May 27, 1921 in Henderson County to the late Will and Fannie Shackleford Davis. He was a retired carpenter and a deacon of the Concord Missionary Baptist Church. He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Ethridge Davis, Claudie Davis, Fred Davis and Coy Davis. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Ruth Simpson Davis; two daughters, Shirley Capps of Lexington and Becky Floyd of Westport; one son, Stephen Davis of Huntingdon; one sister, Estelee Scott of Lexington; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.


They had the following children:
i. Shirley. Born in 1954. Resided in Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee in Aug 2004.

Shirley married Larry CAPPS.

ii. Becky. Resided in Westport, Carroll County, Tennessee in Aug 2004.

Becky married Dean FLOYD.

iii. Stephen. Resided in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee in Aug 2004. Alias/AKA: "Stevie".


50th Anniversary Announcement: Clevie and Ruth Davis of Huntingdon will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary, Saturday, July 6 [2002] from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. at the Carroll Bank and Trust in Huntingdon. They have three children, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Everyone is invited.
