Family of John SIMPSON (3) & Julia E. PHILLIPS

8. William Priestly SIMPSON. Born on 21 Mar 1856 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 63, William Priestly died in Cooke County, Texas on 7 Apr 1919.

On 7 Dec 1888 when William Priestly was 32, he married Cynthalia Boyd DAVIS, daughter of Alfred Jackson DAVIS & Sarah Charlotte HORTON, in Stoddard County, Missouri. Born on 11 Feb 1862 in Gasconade County, Missouri. At the age of 62, Cynthalia Boyd died in Cooke County, Texas on 27 Dec 1924.

They had the following children:
i. Bess. Born on 15 Sep 1889 in Stoddard County, Missouri. At the age of 93, Bess died in Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas on 29 Sep 1982.

ii. Gussy. Born on 10 Jul 1891 in Stoddard County, Missouri. At the age of 79, Gussy died on 1 Jul 1971.

Gussy married W.B. WRATHER.

iii. Mabel. Born on 10 May 1895 in Stoddard County, Missouri.

iv. Rose. Born on 2 Nov 1897 in Stoddard County, Missouri. At the age of 28, Rose died in Denton County, Texas on 30 Dec 1925.

Rose married John William MURPHY, in Cooke County, Texas. Born on 18 Jul 1896 in Burns City, Cooke County, Texas. At the age of 79, John William died on 8 Mar 1976.

v. Frederick Ward. Born on 27 Mar 1903. At the age of 79, Frederick Ward died in Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas in Feb 1983.
