Obituary: Mr. Michael Dale Ellis, 47, of McKenzie, Tennessee, died Saturday, November 23, 2002 at the Methodist Hospital in McKenzie. Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday, November 25, 2002, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Dilday Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the New Hope Cemetery, near Yuma, Tennessee. Brothers Lynn Stapleton and Johnny Boyd will officiate the services. Mr. Ellis was born November 13, 1955, in Carroll County, Tennessee. He was owner of Ellis Roofing Company, was a member of the Baptist Church, the Volunteer Crappie Club and the Coon Hunters Association. He is survived by his wife, Melissa Kaye Ellis; his former wife, Ann Ellis; one daughter, Brandi Nicole Ellis, of McKenzie; two stepsons, Kevin McMackin and Michael Paul McMackin, both of Bruceton; one step-daughter, Stephanie Dawn McMackin of McKenzie; his parents, Roy Junior and Dorothy Horn Ellis of Yuma; two brothers, Darrell Ellis of Westport and David Ellis of New Johnsonville. He also leaves one granddaughter, Makaliyah Ann Hughes, six step-grandchildren, Alexis Raven McMackin, Michael Prater, Michael Clark, Stephanie Clark, Ashley Bradley and Chelsey Bradley. Pallbearers who will serve are Richard Akin, Ricky Crider, Dennis Reynolds, Delmar Clark, Richard Stokes and Kenneth Hicks.
