At the age of 66, Granville Lee died in Buena Vista, Carroll County, Tennessee on 30 Jul 2002. Buried on 1 Aug 2002 in McCauley Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. Cause of death: Struck by lightening. Obituary: Services for Granville Maness, 66, were at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, August 1 at Nebo Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Maness and Rev. Bobby Sanders officiating. Burial was in the McCauley Cemetery. Mr. Maness died on Tuesday, July 30 near his home. He was born November 10, 1935 in Henderson County to the late Oscar and Ollie Dee Maness. Survivors include his wife, Innetta Maness; two daughters, Kay Ellis and Jada Maness, both of Buena Vista; three sons, Danny Maness of Bruceton and Dwayne Maness and Scott Maness, both of Buena Vista; four sisters, Edna Woods of Lexington, Eva Noles, Doris Noles and Bonnie Thompson, all of Buena Vista; a brother, Onnied Maness of Lexington; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. His first wife, Josephine (in 1980); a sister, Alphis Davis and three brothers, Dennis Maness, Junior Maness and Agie Lee Maness, preceded him in death. They had the following children:
