Benny Joe first married Shirley Jean ELLIOT, daughter of John ELLIOT & Gertha BRUCE. Born on 26 Jul 1949. At the age of 22, Shirley Jean died on 30 Oct 1971. Buried in Oct 1971 in Lexington City Cemetery, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee. Cause of death: Automobile accident.

Mae Dean first married Aubrey POWERS.

Mae Dean third married Charles E. KIZER, son of Joseph Woodrow KIZER (1913-) & Hazel Mae FINCH (1914-). Born on 16 Jun 1938. Resided in Wildersville, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1970.

They had one child:
i. Kim. Born in 1968.
