Ricky Robertson served in the navy during the Vietnam War. Later he transferred to the Navy Reserve in Memphis, Tennessee. During the early 1970s, he worked at Century Electric Company, builder of generations and electric motors, in Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee.
In 1968 when Richard Dale was 19, he first married Brenda Gail BOWMAN, daughter of Thomas Hershal BOWMAN (1918-) & Alphae Rae MOORE (1922-1995), in Decatur County, Tennessee. Born on 22 Jan 1948 in Decatur County, Tennessee. They were divorced.
On 14 Jul 1973 when Richard Dale was 25, he second married Linda Gail THOMISON, daughter of Claude THOMISON & Jo ?.
Linda served as a teacher in the public school system of Hardin County, Tennessee.

On 22 Jun 2002 when Sara Nicole was 22, she married Timothy Dan STRICKLAND, in Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee.
Marriage Announcement: Sara Nicole Robertson and Timothy Dan Strickland will marry on Saturday, June 22, 2002 at 4:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Lexington, Tennessee. Sara is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Ricky Robertson of Lexington. Her grandparents are Claude Thomison and the late Jo Thomison of Saltillo, Dorothy Robertson of Lexington, and Delbert Robertson and Doreen Robertson of Camden. Sara is a 1997 graduate of Lexington High School and a 2002 graduate of University of Tennessee at Martin with a B.S. in Elementary Education. She was a member of Chi Omega Fraternity at UT Martin. Tim is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Lavon Duke of Lexington. His grandparents are the late Henry and Mary Fisher of Michie, Pauline and the late Rosco Strickland of Corinth, MS, and the late Silas and Magaline Duke of Lexington. Tim is a 1995 graduate of Lexington High School and a 2001 honors graduate of University of Tennessee at Martin with a B.S. in Geology and a B.S. in Secondary Education. After a honeymoon to Walt Disney World, Florida, the couple will reside in Collierville, Tennessee. Family and friends are invited to attend.
