Obituary: Two Men Die in Automobile Crash: Lexington and all Henderson County were shocked beyond measure Tuesday night when it became known that two men, Bell Rush, and his cousin, Lee Rush, both prominent citizens of Wildersville, had been accidentally killed when he car in which they were riding crashed into the concrete bridge on Highway 22 just where the roads turns toward Timberlake. The accident happened about seven o'clock and was found soon afterwards by Aubrey Pafford and children, who were going to the home of T.D. Moss at Timberlake. Seeing the badly wrecked car, which had hit with such force that it had been split almost in half, he drove on to Timberlake, and getting Mr. Moss and Priest Pearson, went back to the scene where they found Lee Rush still gripping the steering wheel with his neck broken, and the body of Bell Rush some feet from the car with his face and head badly cut. It was thought that Mr. Rush must have lost control of the car as it went down the hill, plunging against the concrete banister, crushing the car and it required nine men to lift the car and to remove the body of Lee Rush. Double funeral services were to be held in the Baptist Church at Wildersville by Rev. T.M. Boyd with interment in the Jones Cemetery. Both men were married and are survived by their wives, and Lee Rush had one son. Bell Rush's wife is a daughter of the late J.R. Hall and is a sister of Mrs. P.H. Dennison of this place.

On 12 Nov 1927 when Lee R. was 25, he first married Tommie N. AZBILL, daughter of Cornelius Atti AZBILL (1882-1968) & Viola Anne MARTIN (1884-1971). Born on 15 Jun 1908 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 20, Tommie N. died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 11 Jul 1928. Buried in Jul 1928 in Hare Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in 1st District, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1920.
