114. Elizabeth PENDERGRASS. Born on 16 Mar 1882 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 32, Elizabeth died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 25 Aug 1914. Buried in 1914 in Palestine Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

On 7 Feb 1904 when Elizabeth was 21, she married Luther WALL, son of Henry Clay WALL (1847-1914) & Dephia Ann FLAKE (1852-1934). Born in 1883 in Tennessee. At the age of 60, Luther died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 8 Jul 1943. Buried in 1943 in Roans Creek Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

115. Effie Jane PENDERGRASS. Born in 1888 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 94, Effie Jane died in Jackson, Madison County, Tennessee on 10 Jan 1982. Buried in Jan 1982 in New Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in Jackson, Madison County, Tennessee.

On 3 Mar 1907 when Effie Jane was 19, she married Allen Priestly HOPPER, son of Joseph Taylor HOPPER (1841-1923) & Mary Melissa WILLIAMS (1851-1889), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born on 13 Aug 1872. At the age of 77, Allen Priestly died on 1 Jun 1950. Buried in Jun 1950 in New Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. Occupation: Yuma, Tennessee, Route 1 Mail Carrier.

iv. Oliver Allen. Born on 20 Aug 1915. At the age of 7, Oliver Allen died on 26 Aug 1922. Buried in 1922 in New Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

vi. George Edward. Born on 16 Jun 1920. At the age of 23, George Edward died on 23 Jul 1943. Buried in 1943 in New Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. George Edward served Sergeant, US Army Air Corps. Cause of death: Died in World War II.

viii. Sarah Priestly. Born on 21 Dec 1925. At the age of 66, Sarah Priestly died on 10 Apr 1992. Buried in Apr 1992 in New Liberty Church Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.


116. Fred Onnie PENDERGRASS. Born on 11 Feb 1892 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 69, Fred Onnie died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 27 Oct 1961. Buried in Oct 1961 in Humbles Baptist Church Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. Religion: New Liberty Baptist Church, Carroll County, Tennessee.

Fred was living in house 111, 15th District, Carroll County, Tennessee, during the 1920 Census.

Obituary: Fred Onnie Pendergrass, farmer of Carroll County, died at 7 a.m. Sunday after a heart attack. He was 69. Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Humbles Baptist Church. Burial was in the church cemetery with Dilday Funeral Home in charge. He was born in Carroll County. He was a member of the New Liberty Baptist Church. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Idella Pendergrass; four sons, Malcolm Pendergrass, Homer Pendergrass, Ross Pendergrass, all of Huntingdon, James Pendergrass of Nashville; a daughter, Mrs. Claude Wilson of Bruceton; a brother, Don Pendergrass of Memphis; three sisters, Mrs. Effie Hopper of Jackson, Mrs. Ida Strickland of Memphis and Mrs. Con Hedge of Shiloh; nine grand children and two great grand children.

Fred Onnie married Idella ALLISON, daughter of James ALLISON & Lucy MILLS. Born on 11 Aug 1894 in Madison County, Tennessee. At the age of 94, Idella died in Bruceton, Carroll County, Tennessee on 24 Oct 1988. Buried in 1988 in Humbles Baptist Church Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. Religion: New Crossroads Baptist Church. Alias/AKA: "Della".

Obituary: Idella Allison Pendergrass, 94, of Bruceton, died October 24, 1988 at her home in Bruceton. Funeral services were conducted October 25, 1988 at 2:00 p.m. at Humbles Baptist Church with Bros. Dwight Haskins and Clarence Carter officiating. Burial was in Humbles Cemetery. Born August 11, 1894 to James Allison and the former Lucy Mills, Mrs. Pendergrass was a native of Madison County but had lived most of her life in Carroll County. She was the widow of Fred Pendergrass who died in 1961, a member of the New Cross Roads Baptist Church and a homemaker. She is survived by one daughter, Mable Wilson of Bruceton; four sons, Malcolm Pendergrass, Ross Pendergrass and Homer Pendergrass, all of Huntingdon and James Pendergrass of Dickson; 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. Grandsons served as pallbearers.


Obituary: Services for Mrs. Della Pendergrass, 94, of Bruceton, were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 25 at Humble Chapel Baptist Church. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mrs. Pendergrass died Monday morning, October 24 at the home of her daughter, Mable Wilson, in Bruceton. She was a member of New Crossroads Baptist Church. She also leaves four sons, Malcolm Pendergrass, Ross Pendergrass, and Homer Pendergrass, all of Huntingdon and James Pendergrass of Dickson; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and a great-great granddaughter. Dilday Funeral Home in Huntingdon had charge of the arrangement.

117. Erin PENDERGRASS. Born about 1899.

Erin first married C.J. McCOLLUM. Born on 18 Oct 1878. At the age of 52, C.J. died on 2 Jul 1931. Buried in 1931 in Palestine Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

They had the following children:
i. Ellen. Born on 6 Oct 1920. Buried in Palestine Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

ii. C.J.. Born on 8 Jan 1922. C.J. died on 8 Jan 1922. Buried in 1922 in Palestine Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

iii. Infant. Born on 5 Jan 1927.

iv. Infant. Born on 2 Aug 1931. Infant died on 2 Aug 1931. Buried in 1931 in Palestine Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.


Erin second married Will SMITH.

Erin third married James Coney HEDGE. Born on 7 Sep 1891. At the age of 80, James Coney died on 18 May 1972. Buried in May 1972 in Shiloh Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Con".

118. John R. PENDERGRASS. Born on 1 Mar 1906 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 59, John R. died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 3 Sep 1965. Resided in 7th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1920.

John R. married Edith SCOTT, daughter of William Early SCOTT (1881-1967) & Callie June WILLIAMS (1883-1949). Born on 23 Mar 1907 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 70, Edith died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 23 Sep 1977.

They had the following children:
i. Willodean.

Norma Jean married Orville CUNNINGHAN.
