40. Martha A. ROSS. Born on 15 May 1856 in Tennessee. At the age of 76, Martha A. died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 21 May 1932. Buried in 1932 in New Liberty Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

On 25 Jun 1870 when Martha A. was 14, she first married Gilson MURPHY, son of Hiram MURPHY ( 1822- 1856) & Nancy WINTERS ( 1820-), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born on 8 Jul 1849 in Tennessee. At the age of 64, Gilson died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 8 Feb 1914. Buried in 1914 in New Liberty Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in 7th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1900.

41. Granville ROSS. Born on 2 May 1859 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 85, Granville died in McLemoresville, Carroll County, Tennessee on 9 Oct 1944. Buried in 1944 in McLemoresville Cemetery, McLemoresville, Carroll County, Tennessee.

Granville married Martha Sarah Elizabeth TATE, daughter of Jesse M. TATE (1836-1904) & Lucretia RHODES (1845-1879). Born on 18 Sep 1866 in Cedar Grove, Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 72, Martha Sarah Elizabeth died in McLemoresville, Carroll County, Tennessee on 6 Apr 1939. Buried in 1939 in McLemoresville Cemetery, McLemoresville, Carroll County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Sallie".

They had the following children:
i. Sebern C.. Born on 27 Sep 1883 in Cedar Grove, Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 69, Sebern C. died in Clarksburg, Carroll County, Tennessee on 27 Oct 1952. Buried in 1952 in New Liberty Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

Sebern Ross was never married.

Gladys married Raymond EVERETT. Raymond died in South Carolina in 1918. Buried in McLemoresville, Carroll County, Tennessee.

42. Mary Emma ROSS. Born in 1861 in Carroll County, Tennessee. Mary Emma died in Trezevant, Carroll County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Emmy".

In 1877 when Mary Emma was 16, she married John Benjamin COX, son of Henry W. COX (1817-) & Martha Jane PRITCHARD (1824-), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born in 1856 in Mississippi. At the age of 79, John Benjamin died in 1935. Buried in 1935 in McLemoresville Cemetery, McLemoresville, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in 7th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1900.

43. Zora Elizabeth ROSS. Born in 1863 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 81, Zora Elizabeth died in Carroll County, Tennessee in 1944. Buried in 1944 in Palestine Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Zory".

On 27 Mar 1889 when Zora Elizabeth was 26, she married William C. PENDERGRASS, son of Augdon Quincy PENDERGRASS (1829-1875) & Clarka Ann GRANT (1837-1912), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born in 1858 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 39, William C. died in Carroll County, Tennessee in 1897. Buried in 1897 in Palestine Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

William C. Pendergrass was living with his grandparents, John and Tabitha Grant, in the 7th District, Carroll County, Tennessee, during the 1880 Census.

44. Sarah Letha ROSS. Born on 12 Feb 1865 in Tennessee. At the age of 67, Sarah Letha died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 28 Apr 1932. Buried in 1932 in Palestine Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

On 22 Jan 1880 when Sarah Letha was 14, she married John Manley PENDERGRASS, son of Crawford J. PENDERGRASS (1826-1883) & Susan E. GRANT ( 1834-), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born on 10 Aug 1861 in Tennessee. At the age of 71, John Manley died in Tennessee on 8 Sep 1932. Buried in 1932 in Palestine Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in Clarksburg, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1930. Resided in 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1880. Resided in 7th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1920.

vii. Illa. Born on 30 Oct 1901. At the age of 64, Illa died on 28 Feb 1966. Buried in 1966 in Palestine Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in Memphis, Shelby County, Tennessee. Resided in 7th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1920.

118 viii. John R. (1906-1965)

45. Daniel ROSS. Born in Sep 1867. At the age of 67, Daniel died in Clarksburg, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1935. Buried in 1935 in New Liberty Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

Daniel married Julia A. TATE, daughter of Jesse M. TATE (1836-1904) & Lucretia RHODES (1845-1879). Born on 3 Jan 1875. Julia A. died in Clarksburg, Carroll County, Tennessee. Buried in New Liberty Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

John H. married Lee FRENCH. Born about 1874.

47. Josephine C. ROSS. Born on 2 Dec 1875 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 92, Josephine C. died in Jackson, Madison County, Tennessee on 28 Nov 1968. Buried in Nov 1968 in Palestine Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Josie".

On 11 Jan 1908 when Josephine C. was 32, she married Alex A. WILES, son of John Royal WILES (1851-1905) & Mary Cordelia KENNEDY (1849-1938), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born on 16 Aug 1875. At the age of 61, Alex A. died in Clarksburg, Carroll County, Tennessee on 7 Jul 1937. Buried in Jul 1937 in Palestine Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in 7th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1880. Resided in Living in 7th District, Carroll County, with his Aunt Catherine Wiles. in 1900.
