34. Elizabeth Cerena KIRBY. Born on 26 Sep 1848. At the age of 41, Elizabeth Cerena died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 5 Feb 1890. Buried in Feb 1890 in Palestine Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in 7th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1870.

On 27 Mar 1872 when Elizabeth Cerena was 23, she married John Wesley PENDERGRASS, son of Manley P. PENDERGRASS ( 1800- 1846) & Martha ? ( 1805- 1880), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born on 10 Jun 1839 in Chatham County, North Carolina. At the age of 78, John Wesley died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 15 Jun 1917. Buried in Jun 1917 in Parkers Crossroads Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. John Wesley served in Company G, 7th Cavalry, US during the American Civil War.

iii. Seabron Blaine. Born on 26 Nov 1879. At the age of 73, Seabron Blaine died in Tennessee in 1953. Buried in 1953 in Rock Springs Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

Seabron Blaine married Lillian K. OLIVE, daughter of Homer L. OLIVE (1860-1941) & Julia Ann Lucinda TAYLOR (1861-1944). Born on 20 Nov 1890. Buried in Rock Springs Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in Henderson County, Tennessee in 1944.

iv. Nona Florance. Born on 3 Jun 1881 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 8, Nona Florance died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 22 Mar 1890. Buried in 1890 in Palestine Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

v. Henry Crafford. Born on 8 Sep 1887 in Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in Wildersville, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1910.

On 7 Apr 1918 when Henry Crafford was 30, he married Addie Lee COFFMAN, daughter of William Louis Cass COFFMAN (1848-1912) & Mariah Jane TRACY (1857-1934), in Henderson County, Tennessee. Born on 10 Jan 1885 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 85, Addie Lee died in Memphis, Shelby County, Tennessee on 17 Feb 1970. Buried in 1970 in Memphis Memorial Gardens, Memphis, Tennessee.

Luther married Ora Myrtle GROGAN, daughter of William Bartholomew GROGAN (1852-1902) & Mary Frances HOPPER (1854-1918). Born on 2 Jan 1886. At the age of 76, Ora Myrtle died on 20 Jun 1962.


36. Armeilia Jane KIRBY. Born on 5 Mar 1856 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 75, Armeilia Jane died on 10 Aug 1931. Buried in 1931 in Palestine Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in 7th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1870.

Armeilia Jane married William Rufus MORGAN, son of Jonathan Oliver MORGAN Junior (1836-1914) & Martha Paralee SHAVER (1836-1915). Born on 17 Dec 1858 in Tennessee. At the age of 31, William Rufus died on 14 Mar 1890. Buried in 1890 in Palestine Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

iv. Jacob J.. Born in 1888. At the age of 59, Jacob J. died on 27 Feb 1947. Buried in 1947 in New Liberty Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Jake".

Jacob J. married Bertha BURNS, daughter of W.A. BURNS (1854-1938) & Amanda BALLARD (1855-1933). Born in 1895. At the age of 82, Bertha died in Jackson, Madison County, Tennessee on 28 May 1977. Buried in May 1977 in New Liberty Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

Obituary: The widow of Frank A. Pendergrass, Mrs. Bertha Burns Morgan Pendergrass, died Monday at Intri-Care Nursing Home, Jackson. Services were at Church of Christ, Clarksburg, Tuesday at 2 p.m. conducted by L.D. Willis and Clifford Lyons, ministers. Burial was in New Liberty Cemetery. Pallbearers were Lindell Baumgardner, Keith Baumgardner, Jimmy Baumgardner, Johnny B. Baumgardner, Willie Howard Baumgardner, Dwayne Baumgardner and Mickey Spain. Mrs. Pendergrass was a member of the Church of Christ. Her parents were W.A. Burns and Amanda Ballard Burns. She was first married to Jake J. Morgan who died Feb. 27, 1947. After his death, she was married to Frank Pendergrass, who died in 1972. She leaves three step-children, Duncan Pendergrass, Thelma Baumgardner and Arlene Spain and nieces and nephews and step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.


v. Jim B.. Born in 1889. At the age of 1, Jim B. died in 1890. Buried in 1890 in Palestine Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

vi. Rufus Jane. Born on 1 Sep 1890. At the age of 81, Rufus Jane died on 30 Jul 1972. Buried in 1972 in Palestine Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.


37. Jacob A. KIRBY. Born in 1857. At the age of 81, Jacob A. died in Tennessee in 1938. Buried in 1938 in New Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in 7th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1870. Alias/AKA: "Jake".

On 8 Jan 1885 when Jacob A. was 28, he married Arena Frances KEE, daughter of Charles KEE (1823-1917) & Mary Jane COX (1837-1899), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born in May 1860 in Tennessee. At the age of 77, Arena Frances died in Tennessee in 1938. Buried in 1938 in New Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.
