Family of William Dewitt ROARK (20) & Sarah Parilee FISHER

44. Gurther Curtis ROARK. Born on 18 Apr 1898 in Carroll County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Gurtha".

On 15 Oct 1927 when Gurther Curtis was 29, he first married Virgie PENDERGRASS, daughter of James Steven PENDERGRASS (1860-1943) & Martha Jane RIGSBY (1860-1937). Born in 1904 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 38, Virgie died in Carroll County, Tennessee in 1942. Buried in 1942 in Sellers Hill Cemetery, Clarksburg, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee.

They had the following children:

ii. Billy Jim. Born on 10 Jan 1932 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 69, Billy Jim died in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee on 16 Oct 2001. Buried on 18 Oct 2001 in Obion Chapel Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

Obituary: Billy Jim Roark, 69, of Huntingdon, died Tuesday, October 16, at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Services were held on Thursday, October 18, in the Dilday Funeral Home Chapel. Brother Ernest Ray Pounds and Brother Tim Lunn officiated. Burial followed in the Obion Chapel Cemetery. Mr. Roark, the son of the late Gurther and Virgie Pendergrass Roark, was born January 10, 1932, in Clarksburg. He was a retired employee of Fisher Building Company and a member of the Obion Chapel Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife, Delma Hardeman Roark, who died in 1985. He is survived by a sister, Bennie Alford of Huntingdon; and four nieces.

Billy Jim married Delma HARDEMAN. Delma died in 1985.

On 6 Aug 1958 when Gurther Curtis was 60, he second married Corene BONDS, in Carroll County, Tennessee.

45. Zillie Vivian ROARK. Born on 23 Dec 1902 in Carroll County, Tennessee.

On 21 Mar 1930 when Zillie Vivian was 27, she married James Cleo YOUNG. Born on 16 Jun 1904. At the age of 62, James Cleo died in Covington, Tipton County, Tennessee on 8 Jan 1967.

They had one child:
i. Leta Faye.
