Funeral services for Dr.
Charles Ellworth Bolen, Sr., were conducted Saturday afternoon at the
Wildersville Church of Christ with Bro. Boone Douthitt of Nashville
officiating. Dr. Bolen died at his home in Wildersville after a lingering
illness which had kept him bedfast for some time. Dr. Bolen was a member
of the 1901 class at the University of Nashville. He had practiced at
Wildersville and Yuma. He was a member of the Tennessee Medical
Association. Dr. Bolen was a citizen of Henderson County and was highly
respected throughout his native county. Burial was in New Hope Cemetery in
Carroll County.
