William Malcolm PENDERGRASS Senior. Born on 1 Mar 1912 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 90, William Malcolm died in Bruceton, Carroll County, Tennessee on 31 Dec 2002. Buried on 3 Jan 2003 in Humbles Chapel Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Malcolm".

Obituary: Funeral services for Mr. Malcolm Pendergrass, Sr., 90, will be conducted Friday at 2:00 P.M. at Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Humbles Cemetery. He is survived by one son, Malcolm Pendergrass, Jr.; brothers, Ross Pendergrass and James Pendergrass, grandsons, Brand and Jeff Pendergrass.

Obituary: Mr. William Malcolm Pendergrass, Sr., 90, died on Tuesday, December 31 at the Life Care Center in Bruceton. Funeral services were conducted on Friday, January 3 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chase Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Scott Carter officiating. Interment followed in the Humbles Cemetery. Mr. Pendergrass was born March 1, 1912 in Carroll County to the late Fred and Della Allison Pendergrass. He was a retired inspector for the Milan Arsenal. His wife, Lucille Pendergrass, who died on June 28, 1996, a sister, Mable Wilson and a brother, Homer Pendergrass, also preceded him in death. Survivors include one son, William Malcolm Pendergrass, Jr. of Huntingdon; two brothers, Ross Pendergrass of Huntingdon and James Pendergrass of Dickson; and two grandsons.


William Malcolm married Lucille MILAM, daughter of John MILAM & Dora SMITH. Born on 26 Feb 1916 in Henry County, Tennessee. At the age of 80, Lucille died in Bruceton, Tennessee on 28 Jun 1996. Buried in 1996 in Humbles Baptist Church Cemetery. Lucille retired from Publix Shirt Company, Huntingdon, Tennessee.

Obituary: Mrs. Lucille Milam Pendergrass, 80, of Huntingdon, died Friday, June 28, at the Life Care Center in Bruceton. Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, June 30. at Dilday Funeral Home. Interment followed in the Humbles Cemetery. Reverend Clarence Carter officiated. Mrs. Pendergrass, the daughter of the late John and Dora Smith Milam, was born February 26, 1916, in Henry County. She was a retired employee of Publix Shirt Company in Huntingdon. She is survived by her husband, William Malcolm Pendergrass, Sr., one son, Malcolm Pendergrass, Jr., and a daughter-in-law Debbie Pendergrass, two grandsons Brad and Jeff Pendergrass all of Huntingdon. Pallbearers who served were Jimmy Watson, Jimmy Coleman, Ray Ivey, Johnny Clifton, Richard Robison and Jerry Robison. Dilday Funeral Home in charge of arrangements

105. Mable PENDERGRASS. Born on 30 Oct 1913 in Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in Bruceton, Tennessee.

In 1934 when Mable was 20, she married Claude H. WILSON, son of Ransom Claude WILSON & Essie MORRISETT, in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born on 29 Jun 1912 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 87, Claude H. died in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee on 24 Feb 2000. Buried on 27 Feb 2000 in Humbles Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

Obituary: Claude H. Wilson, 87, of Bruceton, died Thursday, February 24, at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Services were held on Sunday, February 27, in the Chapel of Dilday Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Humbles Cemetery. Rev. James Daniels and Rev. Arzell Douglas officiated the services. Pallbearers who served were Keith Pendergrass, Kent Pendergrass, Randall Wilson, Jeff Yarbro, Cliff Perry, and Chad Austin. Mr. Wilson, the son of the late Ransom Claude and Essie Morrissett Wilson, was born June 29, 1912 in Carroll County. He was a retired employee for the L&N Railroad, president of the Railroad Trainsmen, and was a member of the Prospect Baptist Church and the Bruceton Lions Club. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Jim Wilson and Charlie Wilson; and two sisters, Mamie Dickerson and Brooxie Presson. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mable Pendergrass Wilson; two daughters, Claudette McMackins of Bruceton; three sisters, Polly Allen and Blanch Gruver, both of Huntingdon, and Queen Alma of Nashville; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a step-grandchild.

iii. Winona. Resided in Camden, Benton County, Tennessee in 2000.

106. Homer Daniel PENDERGRASS. Born on 15 Sep 1916 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 79, Homer Daniel died in Bruceton, Carroll County, Tennessee on 24 Oct 1995. Buried in 1995 in Humbles Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee. Religion: New Crossroads Baptist Church, Carroll County, Tennessee.

Obituary: Mr. Homer Daniel Pendergrass, 79, of Bruceton, died Tuesday, October 24,1995, at his home. Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, October 26, 1995, at Dilday Funeral Home. Interment followed in the Humbles Cemetery. Reverends Rufus Chandler and Lynn Stapleton officiated. Mr. Pendergrass, the son of the late Fred and Delia Allison Pendergrass, was born September 15, 1916, in Carroll County. He was a retired farmer and a member of New Cross Roads Baptist Church, where he served many years as a Deacon. Mr. Pendergrass is survived by his wife, Kathryn Williams Pendergrass, a daughter, Brenda Ott of Clarksville, a son, Daniel Gale Pendergrass of Clarksburg, a sister, Mabel Wilson of Bruceton, three brothers, Malcolm Pendergrass, Sr., and Ross Pendergrass both of Huntingdon, and James Pendergrass of Dickson. He also leaves two grandchildren, Dalton Orr of Clarksville, and Kelli Vaughn of Clarksburg. Pallbearers who served were Bobby Kirk, Randall Wilson, Byron Wilson, Malcolm Pendergrass Jr., Larron Pendergrass, and Freddie Pendergrass. Honorary pallbearers who served were Andy Wood, Hugo Sellers, Sam Lankford, and James Webb.

Homer Daniel first married Luletra KYLE, daughter of Chester KYLE. Born in 1920. At the age of 41, Luletra died in Nashville, Tennessee on 3 Mar 1961. Buried in 1961 in Carroll County Memorial Gardens, Carroll County, Tennessee.

Obituary: Mrs. Luletra Kyle Pendergrass, wife of Homer Pendergrass, died at 2 Thursday morning of last week in Baptist Hospital in Nashville. She had undergone surgery Tuesday. She was 41. Funeral servuces were held at 2 Friday afternoon in Dllday Funeral Home in Huntingdon with the Rev. T. L. Campbell officiating assisted by the Rev. Fred Prince. Burial was in the Carroll Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Pendergrass was a life-long resident of Carroll County. For the past year she had been employed at the Henry I. Siegel Manufacturing Co. at Bruceton. She leaves her husband; a son, Gale Pendergrass a daughter, Mrs. Jackie Orr; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Kyle.

Homer Daniel second married Kathryn WILLIAMS, daughter of Robert WILLIAMS & Martha HORN. Born on 4 Sep 1918 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 78, Kathryn died in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee on 12 Jan 1997. Buried on 14 Jan 1997 in Jamison Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

Obituary: Mrs. Kathryn Williams Pendergrass, 78, of Huntingdon, died Sunday, January 12, at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon. Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, January 14, at Dilday Funeral Home. Interment followed in the Jamison Cemetery. Reverend Derrick Jowers, Rufus Chandler and Lynn Stapleton officiated. Mrs. Pendergrass, the daughter of the late Robert and Martha Horn Williams, was born September 4, 1918, in Dollar. She was the widow of Homer Pendergrass, a retired Supervisor for Publix Shirt in Huntingdon, and a member of the New Crossroads Baptist Church. She is survived by a step-daughter, Brenda Ott, of Clarksville; one step-son, Daniel Gale Pendergrass, of Clarksburg, and a sister, Letha Yockem of Huntingdon. She also leaves two grandchildren and five nieces. Pallbearers who served were Andrew Wood, Bill Fish, Hugo Sellers, Bobby Kirk, Anthony Vaughn and Randall Wilson. Dilday Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

107. James Allison PENDERGRASS. Born on 10 Aug 1922 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 80, James Allison died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 13 Apr 2003. Buried on 15 Apr 2003 in Dickson Union Cemetery, Dickson, Tennessee. Resided in Dickson, Tennessee in Jan 2003.

Obituary: Mr. James Allison Pendergrass, age 80, died suddenly Sun., April 13, 2003 in Henderson County while doing what he loved, being on a trail ride with friends. He was a native of Carroll Co., son of the late Fred and Della Allison Pendergrass, World War II veteran, Retired Ford Glass Plant with 30 yrs. and was partner in Pendergrass and Son Contractor in Dickson since 1977.He is survived by his wife of 56 yrs. Marchetti Green Pendergrass of Dickson; Son, Freddy Pendergrass; Daughter, Carol Hendrix & her husband Tony all of Dickson, TN; His brother, Ross Pendergrass of Huntingdon; 5 Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren. Services will be Tuesday, April 15, at 1:00 PM from the Taylor Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Jim Chatham officiating. Visitation Monday 2 to 8 PM and Tues. 10 AM till service. Interment will follow in the Williams Addition of the Dickson Union Cemetery

ii. Carol. Resided in Dickson, Tennessee in Apr 2003.

Carol married Tony HENDRIX.


108. Landon Ross PENDERGRASS. Born on 11 Dec 1930 in Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee in Jan 2003. Resided in Carroll County, Tennessee in Apr 2003.

On 27 Dec 1953 when Landon Ross was 23, he married Dorothy Jean BOYD (255) , daughter of T. Odell BOYD (1904-1981) & Iva Jane HOOD (122) (1906-1981), in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee. Born on 26 Oct 1930 in Carroll County, Tennessee.

They had the following children:
243 i. Landon Boyd (1960-)
ii. Laron Neal. Born on 10 Mar 1962.

On 14 May 1988 when Laron Neal was 26, he married Tammy PHILLIPS. Born on 18 Jul 1963.

50th Anniversary Announcement: Ross and Jean Pendergrass, Huntingdon, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. January 4 in the activity room at the Huntingdon Church of Christ; 18900 West Main Street; Huntingdon, Tennessee. The event will be hosted by their children and grandchildren. All friends and family are invited. The couple requests no gifts. Ross is retired from Dupont and Jean is retired from the Huntingdon Special School District. Landon Ross Pendergrass and Dorothy Jean Boyd were married December 27, 1953, in Huntingdon.
