PENDERGRASS. Born on 19 Sep 1826 in North Carolina. At the age of 56, Crawford J. died in Tennessee in 1883. Resided in 8th District, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1850. Resided in Clarksburg, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1870. Resided in 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1880. Religion: Methodist.

Member in good standing as of 1850, Rock Springs Methodist Church, Henderson County, Tennessee.

Crawford J. married Susan E. GRANT, daughter of John GRANT Junior (1806-) & Anna Jane ? (1812-). Born about 1834 in Tennessee. Resided in 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1880.

They had the following children:
i. Nancy J.. Born on 31 Aug 1854 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 24, Nancy J. died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 5 Aug 1879. Buried in 1879 in Grant Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

3. Augdon Quincy PENDERGRASS. Born on 19 Jul 1829 in Chatham County, North Carolina. At the age of 45, Augdon Quincy died in Carroll County, Tennessee in 1875. Buried in Grant Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

Augdon Quincy married Clarka Ann GRANT, daughter of John GRANT Junior (1806-) & Anna Jane ? (1812-). Born on 14 Feb 1837 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 75, Clarka Ann died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 30 Oct 1912. Buried in Oct 1912 in Grant Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in 8th District, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1880.

Cause of Death: Clarka's clothes caught fire while washing clothes. She later died from burn complications.

Cause of Death: Clarka was heating water in a large pot to wash clothes. Somehow she made contact with the fire and her clothes were engulfed in flames. Her husband, John O'Brien, extinguished the flames. However, her body could not withstand the trauma. She died two days later.

4. Amanda Elizabeth PENDERGRASS. Born on 10 Aug 1832 in Chatham County, North Carolina. At the age of 30, Amanda Elizabeth died in Henderson County, Tennessee about 1863. Buried in Chapel Hill Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Religion: Member of Rock Springs Methodist Church, Henderson County, Tennessee.

Member in probationary standing as of 1850, Rock Springs Methodist Church, Henderson County, Tennessee.

Amanda Elizabeth married Archibald GRANT, son of Dock Spencer GRANT (1799-1852) & Mary Polly STARK (1797-1877), in Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee. Born on 22 Jul 1827 in Spring Creek, Madison County, Tennessee. At the age of 61, Archibald died in Clarksville, Red River County, Texas on 14 Aug 1888. Resided in District 1, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1850. Resided in District 1, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1870.

They had the following children:

On 15 Dec 1880 when Mary Abigail was 20, she married G.N. McCASLIN, in Red River County, Texas.

5. John Wesley PENDERGRASS. Born on 10 Jun 1839 in Chatham County, North Carolina. At the age of 78, John Wesley died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 15 Jun 1917. Buried in Jun 1917 in Parkers Crossroads Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. John Wesley served in Company G, 7th Cavalry, US during the American Civil War.

On 27 Mar 1872 when John Wesley was 32, he first married Elizabeth Cerena KIRBY, daughter of David KIRBY (1830-) & Nancy ROSS (1827-), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born on 26 Sep 1848. At the age of 41, Elizabeth Cerena died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 5 Feb 1890. Buried in Feb 1890 in Palestine Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in 7th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1870.

Seabron Blaine married Lillian K. OLIVE, daughter of Homer L. OLIVE (1860-1941) & Julia Ann Lucinda TAYLOR (1861-1944). Born on 20 Nov 1890. Buried in Rock Springs Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in First District, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1930. Resided in Henderson County, Tennessee in 1944.
iv. Nona Florance. Born on 3 Jun 1881 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 8, Nona Florance died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 22 Mar 1890. Buried in 1890 in Palestine Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.
v. Henry Crafford. Born on 8 Sep 1887 in Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in Wildersville, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1910.

On 7 Apr 1918 when Henry Crafford was 30, he married Addie Lee COFFMAN, daughter of William Louis Cass COFFMAN (1848-1912) & Mariah Jane TRACY (1857-1934), in Henderson County, Tennessee. Born on 10 Jan 1885 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 85, Addie Lee died in Memphis, Shelby County, Tennessee on 17 Feb 1970. Buried in 1970 in Memphis Memorial Gardens, Memphis, Tennessee.
20 vi. Jerry Arthur (1889-1985)

On 25 Feb 1891 when John Wesley was 51, he second married Mary Matilda TATE, daughter of Jesse M. TATE (1836-1904) & Lucretia RHODES (1845-1879), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born on 5 Jan 1869 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 89, Mary Matilda died in Tennessee in 1959. Buried in 1959 in Parkers Crossroads Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in 7th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1880.

Mary Matilda Tate Pendergrass was living in the household of her stepson, Sebe Pendergrass, in the First District, Henderson County, Tennessee, in 1930.

6. William Manley PENDERGRASS. Born on 10 Apr 1843 in Hillsboro, Chatham County, North Carolina. At the age of 72, William Manley died in Detroit, Red River County, Texas on 12 Jul 1915. Buried in 1915 in Mt. Ida Cemetery, Sevier County, Arkansas. William Manley served in Company G, Seventh Cavalry (U.S.). Resided in 8th District, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1870. Occupation: Farmer.

On 27 Jan 1866 when William Manley was 22, he married Mary W. MURPHY, daughter of Hiram MURPHY (1822-1856) & Nancy WINTERS (1820-), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born in Mar 1848 in Tennessee. At the age of 57, Mary W. died in Sevier County, Arkansas on 12 Mar 1905. Buried in 1905 in Mt. Ida Cemetery, Sevier County, Arkansas.

On 30 Nov 1911 when Maude Florence was 22, she married Ralph Bernard CHERRY, in Red River County, Texas.
