Family of James Nathan PEARSON (22) & Amanda Jane MEALS

59. Dora Lillian PEARSON. Born on 11 Jul 1874 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 89, Dora Lillian died in Henderson County, Tennessee in 1964. Buried in 1964 in Lexington City Cemetery, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1929.

In 1896 when Dora Lillian was 21, she married Judge Felix McCaney DAVIS Senior. Born on 3 Feb 1865. At the age of 70, Felix McCaney died in Henderson County, Tennessee in 1936. Buried in 1936 in Lexington City Cemetery, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in Henderson County, Tennessee in 1929.

Autobiography: Judge F. M. Davis was born February 3, 1865, had a common school education, read law in Judge Levi s Woods' office. Beginning in 1885, took a course at Cumberland University in 1886, was licensed to practice in 1886, and began at Lexington, and has remained there ever since. He is, however, not in active law practice at the present time.

During his term as a lawyer he took part in politics. He served two terms in the State Legislature, in 1893 and in 1895, and was County Judge from 1926 to 1929, when he was legislated out of office.

During his campaigns he was very active and was generally conceded the honor of being the County's ablest stump speaker.

Mr. Davis was married to Miss Myrtle Richardson of Nashville in 1893. She died two years later, leaving no children. He was again married in 1896, this time to Miss Dora Pearson, who bore him six children, four sons and two daughters. Felix, the oldest, is running a loan office in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. John, the second, is a physician and surgeon in Shattock, Oklahoma. Joe, the third, is an active lawyer in Lexington. Nell, a daughter, married in Chicago. Edith, now 17 years old, is in Union University at Jackson. Jim, the youngest, is in Lexington High School.

This is a family record anyone should feel proud of.



They had the following children:
i. Felix McCaney. Born in 1897 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 59, Felix McCaney died in Henderson County, Tennessee in 1956. Buried in 1956 in Lexington City Cemetery, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee.

ii. Infant. Born in 1898 in Henderson County, Tennessee. Infant died in Henderson County, Tennessee in 1898. Buried in 1898 in Lexington City Cemetery, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee.

iii. Joseph Columbus. Occupation: Lawyer in Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee.

Joseph Columbus married Pearl HARRIS.

iv. John. Resided in California in 1936.

v. Nelle. Resided in St. Louis, Missouri in 1936.

Nelle married Karl LILLY.

vi. Edith.

vii. Jim. Resided in Memphis, Shelby County, Tennessee in 1936.
