Family of John Solomon PEARSON (15) & Martha Jane OLIVE

47. William Thomas PEARSON. Born on 18 Feb 1859 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 75, William Thomas died on 12 Aug 1934. Occupation: Lumber dealer.

William Thomas married Emma Helen MOFFITT, daughter of James H. MOFFITT (1826-1890) & Harriet Caroline HEFLEY (1832-1897). Born on 30 Mar 1866. At the age of 37, Emma Helen died on 16 Sep 1903.

They had the following children:
i. Odie Fike. Born on 1 Jun 1886 in Madison County, Tennessee. Resided in Madison County, Tennessee. Occupation: Illinois Central Railroad.

On 1 Nov 1923 when Odie Fike was 37, he married Ruby PHILLIPS.

iv. Mattie Caroline. Born on 13 Mar 1891. At the age of 1, Mattie Caroline died on 27 Mar 1892.

James S.. Born on 3 Jan 1899 in Madison County, Tennessee. At the age of 55, James S. died on 30 Dec 1954. Buried in 1954 in Shreveport, Louisiana. James S. served World War II Veteran. Resided in Shreveport, Louisiana in 1926. Occupation: Farmer and District Sales Manager for Republic Feed Production Company.

James S. married Catherine SHORTER. Born in Shreveport, Louisiana.

viii. Infant. Born on 3 Feb 1901. Infant died on 16 May 1901.

ix. Mary Etta. Born in Sep 1903 in Jackson, Madison County, Tennessee. At the age of 22, Mary Etta died in Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee on 27 Jun 1926. Buried in Jun 1926 in Lexington Cemetery, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee.

Her mother died giving birth to her; she was raised by her mother's sister, Mrs. Anna Laura Moffitt Boswell, of Lexington.

Mary Etta married Monk DARDEN.


48. Susan Frances PEARSON. Born on 12 Mar 1861 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 56, Susan Frances died on 15 Sep 1917. Resided in Jackson, Madison County, Tennessee.

On 9 Jan 1879 when Susan Frances was 17, she married John P. KEY, son of Martin B. KEY & Violet PUCKETT.

They had the following children:
100 i. William Neely (1880-)
ii. Lula Mae. Born on 19 Aug 1881. At the age of 1, Lula Mae died in May 1883.

iii. Viola Elizabeth. Born on 7 Mar 1884. At the age of 24, Viola Elizabeth died on 6 Mar 1909.

Viola was never married and worked at an office in Jackson until her death.

101 iv. John David (1886-)

49. Eliza Ann PEARSON. Born on 10 Apr 1863 in Claybrook, Madison County, Tennessee. At the age of 70, Eliza Ann died in Henderson County, Tennessee in Feb 1934. Buried in 1934 in Lexington Cemetery, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee.

On 25 Oct 1883 when Eliza Ann was 20, she married Joseph Henry MOFFITT, son of James H. MOFFITT (1826-1890) & Harriet Caroline HEFLEY (1832-1897). Born on 16 Jun 1854 in Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 74, Joseph Henry died in Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee on 17 Dec 1928.


They had the following children:
i. Vera. Resided in Fulton, Kentucky in 1928.

Vera married J.G. PARRISH.

ii. Pearson H.. Resided in Gary, Indiana in 1928.

102 iii. Joe Henry (1895-1986)
iv. Trixie. Resided in Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1928.

v. Eula. Resided in Trimble, Dyer County, Tennessee in 1928.

Eula married C. E. SYKES.

vi. Graper. Resided in Paducah, Kentucky in 1928.

103 vii. Vernon
viii. Ernest M.. Born on 7 Nov 1890. Ernest M. died on 27 Sep 1891. Buried in Sep 1891 in Old Hepzibah Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.
