Family of William Dudley PEARSON (8) & Susan Frances WILLIAMS

33. Mellie E PEARSON. Born on 7 Feb 1867. At the age of 28, Mellie E died on 25 Jul 1895. Buried in Jul 1895 in Flake Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

Mellie E married Thomas P. WHITE, son of Jeremiah WHITE (1822-1892) & Susan M. ? (1829-1889). Born in 1862 in Tennessee.

They had the following children:
85 i. Willie J. (1887-)
ii. Bennie. Born on 4 Nov 1892. At the age of 58, Bennie died on 20 Sep 1951. Buried in Sep 1951 in Lexington Cemetery, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee. Bennie served as a private in the 63rd Artillery, CAC, World War I.


34. Ella PEARSON. Born in May 1874.

Ella married Sidney L. OLIVE, son of James G. OLIVE (1844-) & Tabitha Elizabeth FLAKE (1847-1918). Born in Feb 1870 in Tennessee. Resided in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma in 1922. Resided in 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1900.

They had the following children:
i. Hester.

Hester married Billy PRITCHARD, son of Isaac PRITCHARD (1873-1953) & Margaret Emma PETTY (1875-1957).

ii. Leborn.

iii. Frazier.

35. Cornelia PEARSON. Born on 22 May 1881 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 30, Cornelia died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 11 Apr 1912. Buried in Apr 1912 in Rosser Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Nelia".

Research: Friday, April 19, 1912: The same week that nearly 2000 unfortunate souls lost their lives in the sinking of the Titanic, one Carroll County resident was having better luck. Jim Kee was reported as finding 41 silver half dollars buried on his property while digging post holes. Since all the coins dated from 1844 to 1861, Kee speculated that they were hidden sometime during the Civil War. He added that he planned to a lot more digging when he found the time. That same week, prominent Clarksburg resident Mrs. Bass Graves passed away at the age of 35.

On 8 Oct 1905 when Cornelia was 24, she married Basley Henry GRAVES, son of Major Lee GRAVES (1831-1905) & Mary G. ADAMS (1839-1905), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born on 22 Oct 1868 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 47, Basley Henry died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 9 Aug 1916. Buried in 1916 in Rosser Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in 17th District, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1870.

They had the following children:
i. Infant. Infant died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 19 Feb 1907. Buried on 19 Feb 1907 in Rosser Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

ii. J.B.. J.B. died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 8 Dec 1908. Buried in Dec 1908 in Rosser Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.
