Family of Laurence MYRACLE (1) & Margaret WAIR

2. Peter MYRACLE. Born about 1780 in Burke County, North Carolina. At the age of 69, Peter died in Tippah County, Mississippi in Nov 1849. Occupation: Farmer.

Peter and Lawrence Myracle appear in the 1799 Grainger County, Tennessee, tax records. Peter and Jacob Myracle were called to jury duty in Perry County in 1822. Peter moved his family to northern Mississippi in the 1840s. Peter's descendants modified their surname to Maricle and other variant spellings in the 1860s, and many migrated to Texas after the Civil War.

Peter married Susan DERRYBERRY, daughter of Jacob DERRYBERRY. Susan died in Tippah County, Mississippi.

They had the following children:

7 iv. Mahulda (1830-)

3. Abraham MYRACLE. Born about 1807 in Tennessee. At the age of 73, Abraham died in Henderson County, Tennessee before 1880. Buried in Myracle Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in 9th District, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1870. Occupation: Farmer.

Abraham first married Martha ?. Born in Apr 1812 in Tennessee. Resided in 9th District, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1900. Alias/AKA: "Lahma".

They had the following children:
i. P. A. W.. Born on 8 Jan 1834. At the age of 35, P. A. W. died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 11 Aug 1869. Buried in Aug 1869 in Duke Chapel Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

ii. Emily P.. Born in 1836.

v. Caroline. Born in May 1840 in Parkers Crossroads, Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 75, Caroline died in Wildersville, Henderson County, Tennessee in Apr 1916. Buried in Apr 1916 in Jones Cemetery, Wildersville, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in 9th District, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1880. Resided in 9th District, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1900.

Obituary: Passes Away: Miss Caroline Myracle, aged 76 years, died last Monday at the home of her niece, Mrs. Tom Joyner, one and one half miles west of Wildersville, with whom she had been making her home for several years. She was born near Parker's Crossroads in Henderson County, about 1840. She was the daughter of Uncle Abe Myracle. She lived with her brother, John, until her niece, Miss Babe Myracle, was married to Tom Joyner some eight or ten years ago, and she made her home with them until last Monday, when she was called away beyond the skies. She was laid to rest Tuesday at two o'clock in the Jones Cemetery near Parker's Crossroads.

Abraham second married Lou ?. Born in 1826 in Tennessee. Resided in 9th District, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1880.

They had the following children:
i. Sarah. Born in 1855.

iii. Louisa M.. Born in 1853 in Henderson County, Tennessee.
