16. William Newton MURPHY. Born in 1878 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 89, William Newton died in Carroll County, Tennessee in 1967. Buried in 1967 in Blair Cemetery, Clarksburg, Carroll County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Newt".

William Newton married Missie WALL, daughter of Johnny Oliver WALL ( 1843-) & Martha Isabelle GROGAN ( 1849-1938). Born in 1882 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 65, Missie died in Carroll County, Tennessee in 1947. Buried in 1947 in Blair Cemetery, Clarksburg, Carroll County, Tennessee.

They had the following children:

iii. Violet Hartense. Born on 16 Aug 1907 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 93, Violet Hartense died in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee on 3 Jul 2001. Buried on 6 Jul 2001 in Blair Cemetery, Clarksburg, Carroll County, Tennessee.

Obituary: Violet M. Barnes, 93, of Clarksburg, died Tuesday, July 3, at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon. Services were held at 1 p.m., Friday , July 6, at the Clarksburg Church of Christ. Bro. Bill Crossno officiated. Burial followed at Blair Cemetery in Clarksburg. Mrs. Barnes was born August 16, 1907, in Carroll County to the late Newt and Missy Wall Murphy. She was a member of the Clarksburg Church of Christ and a homemaker. Her husband, Ray Barnes, preceded her in death. She is survived by several nephews and nieces. Pallbearers who served were Billy Crum, Lloyd Milam, Roy Humphrey, Kenny Peterson, Max Cary, James Rosser, Charles Belew, and Gerald Brandon. Chase Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Violet Hartense married Dennis Ray BARNES.

iv. Clarence Blaine. Born on 2 Dec 1910 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 59, Clarence Blaine died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 20 Sep 1970. Buried in 1970 in Blair Cemetery, Clarksburg, Carroll County, Tennessee.

Blaine suffered neck injuries in a car wreck on Dollar Hill near Clarksburg, Carroll County, Tennessee, during the 1930s. He was paralyzed from the neck down.

32 v. Roy Leon (1913-1971)

17. Ida MURPHY. Born in Oct 1881 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 51, Ida died in 1933. Buried in 1933 in New Liberty Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

On 11 Jan 1903 when Ida was 21, she married Charlie Ulysess WALL, son of Johnny Oliver WALL ( 1843-) & Martha Isabelle GROGAN ( 1849-1938), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born in 1879 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 78, Charlie Ulysess died in Carroll County, Tennessee in 1957. Buried in 1957 in New Liberty Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

They had the following children:
i. Esdie. Born on 29 Jun 1903.

34 iii. Johnnie Gilson (1908-1933)
iv. Ollie B.. Born on 6 Feb 1911. Ollie B. died on 6 Feb 1911. Buried in New Liberty Church Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

Ollie B. married Jimmy McKINNEY.

v. Raymelle. Born on 21 Sep 1913.

Raymelle married Tim DURBIN. Buried in New Liberty Church Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

vi. Charlie Audrain. Born on 16 Jan 1918. At the age of 81, Charlie Audrain died on 10 Mar 1999.

Charlie Audrain married Louise ?.


18. Hariam Alonzo MURPHY. Born in 1871. At the age of 81, Hariam Alonzo died in 1952. Buried in 1952 in New Liberty Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Lonnie".

Hariam Alonzo married Mary Luella MONTGOMERY. Born in 1870. At the age of 83, Mary Luella died in 1953.

They had the following children:
35 i. John Earon
36 ii. Josie
37 iii. Hettie Elizabeth (1901-1966)
iv. Odell.

v. Mattie.


19. Nancy Jane MURPHY. Born in Jul 1873.

Nancy Jane married Thomas Porter GROGAN Senior, son of Rice GROGAN ( 1821-) & Emily LUCAS ( 1823-). Born in Jul 1859 in Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "T.P.

They had the following children:
i. Urias G.. Born in Aug 1891.
