Family of Martha Jane MORROW (3) & Archibald Young DOUGLAS Virginia Elizabeth married Thomas Henry BURTON, son of James Wade BURTON (1804-1864) & Elizabeth WALL (1802-1872). Born on 17 Sep 1834 in Virginia. At the age of 87, Thomas Henry died in Tennessee on 19 Sep 1921. Buried in 1921 in Rock Springs Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Obituary: Dies at age 87: Thomas Burton, formerly of this county, but more recently a citizen of Carroll County, aged 87 years and 2 days, died Monday morning at the home of his son, Henry Burton, near Wildersville. Mr. Burton suffered a stroke of paralysis nine years ago and a recurrence of the stroke about four weeks before his death. The funeral occurred at Rock Springs last Tuesday. The casket was furnished by Wright & Montgomery and Mr. Wright informs us that Mr. Burton was the oldest person for whose person for whose funeral his firm has ever furnished a coffin or casket. 11. William Henley DOUGLAS. Born in 1846 in Tennessee. At the age of 79, William Henley died in 1925. Buried in 1925 in Rock Springs Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Bill". William Henley married Frances R. TAYLOR, daughter of Henderson TAYLOR (1809-1886) & Julia Lucindy ADAMS (1818-1896). Born in 1848 in Tennessee. At the age of 48, Frances R. died in 1896. Buried in 1896 in Rock Springs Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. They had the following children:

Douglass: A local preacher, and one of the best citizens in the Twentieth District, died Monday of last week. He was ill several days. His preacher son, Rev. Clarence Douglass of New Mexico, was notified and the burial delayed until his arrival. Mr. Douglass was member of the Methodist Church and four years had been a mainstay in the old Shiloh Church. He is survived by his wife and three sons, Rev. Clarence Douglass of New Mexico, Omar Douglas and Baxter Douglass, this county. He is also survived by three brothers, G.M. Douglass, Lexington, Raborn Douglass and Joe Douglass, this county. He is an uncle of Dr. Roy Douglas of Huntingdon. The burial was at Shiloh after appropriate burial services. On 9 Jan 1879 when Archibald Lafayette was 22, he married Thinny ATKISSON, in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born in 1860. At the age of 87, Thinny died in Carroll County, Tennessee in 1947. 14. Joseph C. DOUGLAS. Born on 5 Aug 1862 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 82, Joseph C. died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 25 Dec 1944. Buried in 1944 in Rock Springs Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Joe". In 1895 when Joseph C. was 32, he married Mary A. COFFMAN, daughter of Samuel M. COFFMAN (1845-1913) & Sarah Tabitha MILAM (1851-1942). Born on 3 Dec 1869 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 53, Mary A. died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 10 Sep 1923. Buried in 1931 in Lexington City Cemetery, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee. Religion: Methodist. Obituary: Dies after Lingering Illness: On last Saturday, October 31, 1931, Granville M. Douglas died at his home on Huntingdon Street. Mr. Douglas was born near Rock Springs in Henderson County July 27, 1867, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Archie Douglas. In September 1887, he married Martha J. Eads [Kee] and for several years afterwards lived near Clarksburg, afterward moving to Lexington where he had purchased a farm at the eastern edge of town. He is survived by his wife and by six of the seven children: Dr. Roy of Huntingdon; Carl of Danville, Kentucky; Ben, a student at U.T. Knoxville; John M., a senior in Lexington High School; Miss Alva, who has been at home the past few months, and Miss Alton, home demonstration agent in Hardeman County. He also hast two brothers, Messrs. Rayburn and Joe Douglass of Rock Springs. Funeral services were held Monday morning at the M.E. Church, South, conducted by Rev. E.F. McDaniel, assisted by Rev. Fleetwood Ball, where the many friends gathered to pay tribute to one whose life was full of faith and good work. As a token of sympathy to John M., the high school football team attended in a body. On 19 Sep 1889 when Granville Morrison was 25, he married Martha Jane KEE, daughter of Thomas L. KEE (1851-1928) & Susan E. PRITCHARD (1843-1888), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born on 23 Jul 1869 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 81, Martha Jane died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 9 Dec 1950. Buried in 1950 in Lexington Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. They had the following children:
16. Rayborne Washington DOUGLAS. Born on 6 Feb 1867 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 70, Rayborne Washington died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 10 May 1937. Buried in 1937 in Rock Springs Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Obituary: Raben Washington Douglas, son of Mr. and Mrs. Archie Douglas, was born February 6, 1867, and died May 9th, 1937, aged 70 years. He was married to Miss Betty Jane Stanford fifty-four years ago and to this union four children were born: Emmett and Paul of Rock Springs, Carlos and Mrs. Boyd Little, of Whitthorn, Mississippi, all surviving. Rayborne Washington married Betty Jane STANFORD. Born in 1867. Buried in 1948 in Rock Springs Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 81, Betty Jane died in Tennessee in 1948.
