Doctor Rufus Henry MILAM. Born on 16 Dec 1871 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 55, Rufus Henry died in Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee on 11 Mar 1927. Buried in 1927 in Lexington Cemetery, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in Chesterfield, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1917.

On 3 Apr 1890 when Rufus Henry was 18, he married Lucy Penelope GRAVES, daughter of Major Lee GRAVES (1831-1905) & Mary G. ADAMS (1839-1905). Born in 1872. At the age of 77, Lucy Penelope died in Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1949. Buried in May 1949 in Lexington Cemetery, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in Chesterfield, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1916. Alias/AKA: "Dollie".

They had the following children:
i. Lavica Laverna. Born on 24 Aug 1891 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 19, Lavica Laverna died in Chesterfield, Henderson County, Tennessee in Apr 1911. Buried in Apr 1911 in Union Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

Lavica Laverna married G. Fielder WALKER.

ii. Oscar. Born on 3 May 1895. At the age of 79, Oscar died on 11 Oct 1974. Buried in Oct 1974 in Lexington Cemetery, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee.

Oscar married Leslie E. McCALL, daughter of Priestly P. McCALL (1865-1901) & Vernie WISE (1875-1943). Born on 6 Jul 1895. At the age of 85, Leslie E. died on 14 Nov 1980. Buried in Nov 1980 in Lexington Cemetery, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee.

iii. Mary Lorene. Born on 25 Oct 1902. At the age of 1, Mary Lorene died on 4 Nov 1903. Buried in Nov 1903 in Union Church Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

iv. Royal Hal. Born on 7 May 1908. At the age of 75, Royal Hal died on 12 Jan 1984. Buried in Jan 1984 in Lexington Cemetery, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1931. Alias/AKA: "Hal".

On 4 Jun 1931 when Royal Hal was 23, he married Sylvia McCONNELL, in Metropolis, Illinois. Born on 26 Aug 1913. At the age of 77, Sylvia died on 9 Apr 1991. Buried in 1991 in Lexington Cemetery, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee.

Marriage Announcement: An interesting wedding occurred Sunday, June 4th, 1931, in Metropolis, Illinois, when Mr. Hal Milam and Miss Sylvia McConnell were married. Mr. Milam was reared in Lexington and is the son of Mrs. R. H. and the late Dr. Milam. He has been a teacher in the county and engaged in various business enterprises. His bride has lived in Lexington for about a year, her father being connected with the N. C. & St. L. Ry. She lived previously in Kentucky and has many friends both in her old home and in Lexington. They are living at present with Mr. Milam's mother on North Main Street.

Melvina Josephine MILAM. Born on 18 Apr 1872 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 70, Melvina Josephine died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 22 Jan 1943. Buried in 1943 in Antioch Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in Henderson County, Tennessee in 1917. Alias/AKA: "Molly" or "Mellie".

On 5 Oct 1890 when Melvina Josephine was 18, she married Isaac Martin FESMIRE, son of John Alston FESMIRE (1822-1906) & Louisa Jane GARNER (1830-1914), in Henderson County, Tennessee. Born on 23 Mar 1865 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 80, Isaac Martin died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 7 Aug 1945. Buried in 1945 in Antioch Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1938. Resided in 7th District, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1870. On 18 Jan 1894 when Flora Catherine was 18, she married Edward Lafayette FESMIRE, son of John Alston FESMIRE (1822-1906) & Louisa Jane GARNER (1830-1914), in Henderson County, Tennessee. Born in Sep 1871 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 92, Edward Lafayette died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 2 Apr 1964. Buried in 1964 in Antioch Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1938. Alias/AKA: "Fate".
