Family of Andrew Jackson McCUISTION Senior (38) & Julia Ann ROARK

117. Reverend Andrew Jackson McCUISTION Junior. Born on 9 May 1864 in Texas. At the age of 93, Andrew Jackson died in Cherokee County, Texas on 22 May 1957. Buried in 1957 in Old Palestine Cemetery, Alto, Cherokee County, Texas.

On 5 Oct 1887 when Andrew Jackson was 23, he married Margaret Pamela Jane DICKEY, in Cherokee County, Texas. Buried in Old Palestine Cemetery, Alto, Cherokee County, Texas. Alias/AKA: "Maggie".

They had the following children:
i. Mary Edna. Born on 2 Jul 1888.

ii. Andrew Lee. Born on 20 Oct 1889.

iii. Lemuel Milton. Born on 30 Aug 1891.

iv. James Robert. Born on 3 Jul 1894 in Texas. At the age of 80, James Robert died on 25 Aug 1974.

James Robert married Laura GOFF.

v. Clara Belle. Born on 11 Nov 1903 in Texas.

Clara Belle married Morris Lee YEATES.


The McCuistion family lived on a farm five miles east of Alto in the Linwood Community. He was a farmer and grew cotton, corn and tomatoes. Andrew Jr. and Margaret were both converted to Christianity early in life. Andrew was called to the ministry and he was ordained a minister of the Gospel and licensed by the Assembly of God Church. He was pastor of the Clawson Church, near Lufkin, for thirteen years. He was interested in the community and served as Trustee of the Grange Hall School several years. He and Margaret celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary 9 October 1937.

118. Reverend Robert Lewis McCUISTION. Born on 9 Feb 1867 in Texas. At the age of 67, Robert Lewis died on 10 Mar 1934.

Robert was ordained as a Baptist Minister.

On 24 Oct 1897 when Robert Lewis was 30, he married Minnie Ann HARRIS, in Cherokee County, Texas.

They had the following children:
i. Zeffa May. Born on 3 Aug 1898 in Texas.

ii. Ida Inez. Born on 4 Sep 1900 in Texas.

iii. Benjamin Lewis. Born on 29 Oct 1904 in Texas.

iv. Nannie L.. Born on 22 Aug 1907 in Texas.

v. Helen Bernice. Born on 21 Sep 1922 in Texas.
