28. William Thomas McCALL. Born on 17 Oct 1850 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 78, William Thomas died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 5 Jan 1929. Buried in Jan 1929 in McCall Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Tom".

William Thomas married Jane SNEED.

They had one child:
i. Katie. Resided in McKenzie, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1929.

Katie married John GRENADA.


29. Samantha E. McCALL. Born on 8 Feb 1853 in Henderson Cemetery, Henderson, Chester County, Tennessee. At the age of 83, Samantha E. died in Chesterfield, Henderson County, Tennessee on 7 Mar 1936. Buried in Mar 1936 in Union Church Cemetery, Chesterfield, Henderson County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Bettie".

In Aug 1876 when Samantha E. was 23, she married Richard Winfield McKELVEY, son of Turner McKELVEY & Tennessee ?, in Lone Elm, Henderson County, Tennessee. Born on 3 May 1848 in Spartanburg, South Carolina. At the age of 76, Richard Winfield died in Parsons, Decatur County, Tennessee on 3 Jan 1925. Buried in Jan 1925 in Union Church Cemetery, Chesterfield, Henderson County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Bettie".


They had the following children:
i. Belton. Born in 1876. At the age of 31, Belton died in Chesterfield, Henderson County, Tennessee in Jul 1907. Buried in Jul 1907 in Union Church Cemetery, Chesterfield, Henderson County, Tennessee.

ii. Eva.

Eva married Jack DAVIS.

iii. Lena.

Lena married Will NEELY.


30. George W. McCALL. Born on 28 Jun 1856 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 89, George W. died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 14 Aug 1945.

G. W. McCall

G. W. McCall, a member of the dry goods firm of Dennison & McCall, of Lexington, is a son of Andrew and Jane (Dennison) McCall. The father is of Scotch-Irish extraction, born in South Carolina in 1827; when but three years of age left the Palmetto State with his father, Andrew Dennison [sic.], Sr., immigrating to Henderson County, Tenn., and located in the Twentieth Dist., where the latter bought about 800 acres of land and began cultivation. He was one of the pioneer settlers and best known men in the county; departed this life in 1841 at the age of fifty-one years. Andrew, Jr., was married in 1849, to a lady who was born in Decatur County in 1833, and who bore him eight children, of whom our subject is the third. Mr. and Mrs. McCall are living on- the old homestead, where they own 820 acres of valuable soil. G. W. McCall received a good education in the Henderson County schools, and attended two sessions at McKenzie, Carroll County. In 1873 he accepted a situation in a general store at Fulton, Ky., where he remained two years; he continued clerking for some time in different localities and in 1882 entered into a partnership with Mr. P. J. Dennison, establishing a first-class dry goods house in Lexington. They are both mean of energy and ability, and have met with great success in their undertaking. Mr. McCall is a Republican; cast his first vote for the late James A. Garfield in 1880. He is a genial man and worthy citizen, having a large circle of friends and acquaintances.

George W. married Minerva Aslie BRAY, daughter of John BRAY & Minerva WALKER (1827-1909). Born in 1866.

Minerva and John were twins.

They had the following children:
i. Annie. Born on 18 Jun 1890.

Annie married William Lee MILLER. Resided in Scott, Mississippi in Aug 1945.

ii. Eff Muse. Born on 20 Jan 1892. At the age of 79, Eff Muse died on 12 Sep 1971. Resided in Blytheville, Arkansas in Aug 1945.

Eff Muse married Carolyn PAGE.

iii. John Andrew. Born on 6 Aug 1894. At the age of 79, John Andrew died in Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee on 23 Dec 1973. Resided in Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee in Aug 1945.

On 30 Mar 1920 when John Andrew was 25, he married Raulie YATES, in Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee.

iv. Mildred. Born in 1896. Resided in Memphis, Shelby County, Tennessee in Aug 1945.

Mildred married Ernest BALL.

v. Georgia A. Born on 22 Mar 1901 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 38, Georgia A died in Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee on 27 Dec 1939. Cause of death: Georgia's house caught fire and she burned to death.

Georgia McCall never married.


31. Mary Adelaide McCALL. Born on 31 Jul 1865 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 82, Mary Adelaide died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 5 Jul 1948.

Mary Adelaide married John Askew BRAY, son of John BRAY & Minerva WALKER (1827-1909). Born in 1866 in Tennessee. At the age of 80, John Askew died in Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee in Dec 1946. Buried in Dec 1946 in Lexington Cemetery, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee.

They had the following children:
i. Tom.

ii. George.

iii. Josie.

iv. Carl. Born on 16 Nov 1886. At the age of 10, Carl died on 10 Jul 1897.
