138. John B. MORGAN Senior. Born on 22 Jul 1918 in Gibson, Gibson County, Tennessee. At the age of 84, John B. died in Jackson, Madison County, Tennessee on 25 Jun 2003. Buried on 28 Jun 2003 in Highland Memorial Gardens, Jackson, Madison County, Tennessee.

Obituary: Funeral services for John B Morgan, age 84, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 28, 2003, at George A. Smith and Sons South Chapel with Rev. Mark McSwain and Rev. John B Morgan III officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens. Mr. Morgan died Wednesday, June 25, 2003, at West Tennessee Transitional Care. He had recently been under the wonderful care of Hospice of West TN. Mr. Morgan was born on July 22, 1918 in Gibson, Tennessee, the son of Homer and Vera Piercey Morgan. He attended the Jackson City Schools and worked in his early years at Thompson Bakery and Dixie Castle. He was married to Doris Jones Morgan in 1940. They had two children, Sandra and John B, Jr. Mr. Morgan was a WW II Veteran serving with the US Navy in the South Pacific. He then worked for sixteen years at Southern Supply Company of Jackson as a salesman for most of West Tennessee. Throughout his years at SSC, he continued to maintain his seniority with the ICG railroad and eventually went to work full time as a brakeman/conductor where he stayed until he retired in 1983. Mr. Morgan attended Calvary Baptist Church, Malesus Baptist and then First Baptist of Bemis where he was currently a member. He was active in the local United Transportation Union, serving as an officer; and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, Elks Club, and Moose Lodge. Mr. Morgan was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Doris Jones Morgan, who died May 13 of this year. He is survived by a daughter, Sandra Williams, and husband Donald of Jackson; a son, John B Morgan, Jr. and wife, Linda of Eatonton, GA; a sister, Martha McKay of Jackson; brothers, Roy Morgan and wife, Helen, Herb Morgan and wife, Joyce of Arlington, VA; grandchildren, John B Morgan, III of Atlanta, GA and Catherine Willis of Nashville and a great grandchild, Morgan Willis. Mr. Morgan was also preceded in death by sisters, Elizabeth Morgan and Mary Ruth Sharer and brother, Howell Morgan. Pallbearers to serve will be Roy Morgan, Jr., Mike Morgan, Mark Morgan, Brent Willis, Kelly Smythe and Jackie Smythe. Honorary Pallbearers include Jerry Williams, Gordon Sipes, Fay Hearn, Joe Hall, Tommy McKnight and Clarence Wall. Memorials may be directed to the First Baptist Church of Bemis Building Fund, or Hospice of West TN, 1804 Highway 45 Bypass, Suite 100, Jackson, TN 38305. The family will receive friends at the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons today from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and from 11:00 a.m. Saturday until the service at 1:00 p.m.

In 1940 when John B. was 21, he married Doris JONES. Doris died on 13 May 2003.

They had the following children:
i. Sandra. Resided in Jackson, Madison County, Tennessee in Jun 2003.

Sandra married Donald WILLIAMS.

140. Herbert Norris MORGAN. Born on 10 Sep 1929 in Jackson, Madison County, Tennessee.

On 14 Nov 1947 when Herbert Norris was 18, he married Joyce Marie WALLACE, daughter of Welborn Mooney WALLACE & Mary Irene BARNETT, in Jackson, Madison County, Tennessee. Born on 14 Jan 1929 in Selmer, McNairy County, Tennessee.

They had one child:

141. Roy Brown MORGAN Senior. Resided in Arlington, Virginia in Jun 2003.

Roy Brown married Helen CAMPBELL.

They had the following children:
