Obituary: Mrs. Lucenda Massey Stanford was born April 19th, 1846, and died March 22, 1939, aged 93 years. She was married to Thomas L. Stanford in 1866, and to this union were born two children, Pony Stanford of Mobile, Alabama, and Mrs. Bettie Douglas of this place. "Aunt Cenda," as she was lovingly called by all who knew her, will be sadly missed. Rev. R.F. Blankenship conducted the funeral service in the presence of a large crowd where she was laid to rest by the side of her husband who preceded her to the grave about 20 years ago. On 12 Oct 1865 when Mary Lucinda was 19, she married Thomas L. STANFORD, son of Jesse STANFORD (1800-) & ?, in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born on 25 Dec 1840 in Carroll County, Tennessee.
