83. Margaret Ann LIFSEY. Born on 1 May 1942 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 61, Margaret Ann died in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee on 11 Jan 2004. Buried on 13 Jan 2004 in New Spring Hill Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

Obituary: HUNTINGDON: Mrs. Margaret Ann Pace Smothers, 61, passed away Sunday, January 11 at the Baptist Hospital in Huntingdon. Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, January 13 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chase Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Fred Ward officiating. Interment followed in the New Spring Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Smothers was born May 1, 1942 in Carroll County to the late William Hulon and Margaret Crossett Lifsey. She was a factory worker for Publix Shirt Corporation and a member of the First Baptist Church in Huntingdon. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Betty Sue Phillips. She is survived by her husband, Lynn Dale Smothers; two daughters, Jane Coleman of Memphis and Beverly Ann Scott of Lafayette, Louisiana; one son, Ricky Joe Pace of Hollow Rock; one sister, Nancy Mann of Lafayette, Louisiana; one brother, William “Sunny” Lifsey of Huntingdon; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.


Obituary: Margaret Ann Pace Smothers, 61, of Huntingdon, died Sunday, January 11, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Huntingdon. Services were held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 13, in the chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Burial followed in New Spring Hill Cemetery. Brother Fred Ward officiated. Pallbearers who served were Mike Scott, Brian Scott, Chris Walls, Phil Phillips, Mike Lifsey, Dan Smothers, and Steve Smothers. Mrs. Smothers, daughter of the late William Hulon and Margaret (Crossett) Lifsey, was born May 1, 1942, in Carroll County. She was a factory worker for Publix Shirt Corporation and a member of the First Baptist Church in Huntingdon. She was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Sue Phillips. She is survived by her husband, Lynn Dale Smothers; two daughters, Janet Coleman of Memphis and Beverley Ann Scott of Lafayette, Louisiana; one son, Ricky Joe Pace of Hollow Rock; one sister, Nancy Mann of Lafayette, Louisiana; one brother, William “Sunny” Lifsey of Huntingdon; five grandchildren, Salena Nunnley, Chris Walls, David Walls, Michael Pace, and Brian Scott; one great-grandson, Marcus Walls; and a special friend, Sherry Moore of Huntingdon.

They had the following children:
i. Jane. Resided in Memphis, Shelby County, Tennessee in Jan 2004.

ii. Beverly Ann. Resided in Lafayette, Louisiana in Jan 2004.

iii. Ricky Joe. Resided in Hollow Rock, Carroll County, Tennessee in Jan 2004.


Margaret Ann second married Lynn Dale SMOTHERS.
