Family of Orvie LEWIS (24) & Lizzie LEWIS

52. E.L. LEWIS. Born in 1930. At the age of 74, E.L. died in Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee on 18 Jul 2004. Buried on 20 Jul 2004 in Oak Grove Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Dood".

Obituary: Funeral services for E.L. 'Dood' Lewis, age 74, will be today, July 20, 2004 at 2 p.m. at the Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Brothers Daniel Lewis, Scott Carter and David Leslie officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Mr. Lewis died Sunday, July 18, 2004 at the Lexington Manor. He was retired from Cross Dry Cleaners and retired from the Army National Guard.. He was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Laverne Lewis; a daughter, Reba (Ray) McCay; three sons, Ricky (Brenda), Steve (Rose Mary) and Tim (Tonia) Lewis, all of Lexington; five sisters, Katherine Roberts, Jane Woods and Brenda Weatherford of Lexington, Doris Hollowell of Jackson and Mary Lou McDaniel of Whiteville; four brothers, Jack, Jerry and Wayne Lewis of Lexington and Herman Lewis of Columbia; six grandchildren, Jana McCay, Chris Lewis, Daniel Lewis, Kim Carter, Misty Wallace and Mandy Russell; and three great grandchildren, Katelyn Lewis, Leah Lewis and Sarah Beth Russell. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Oak Grove Cemetery.

They had the following children:

iii. Steve. Resided in Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee in Jul 2004.

Steve married Rose Mary ?.

iv. Tim. Resided in Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee in Jul 2004.

53. Mary Lou LEWIS. Born on 18 Oct 1935. Resided in Whiteville, Hardeman County, Tennessee in Jul 2004.

On 22 Jul 1956 when Mary Lou was 20, she married Bobby Joe McDANIEL, son of Carl McDANIEL (1903-1960) & Vennie Mae TODD (1908-1996). Born on 17 Jun 1936. Resided in Jackson, Madison County, Tennessee in 1999.

They had the following children:
89 i. Tammy Karen (1958-)
90 ii. Lisa Anne (1961-)
iii. Gina. Born on 27 Mar 1964. Resided in Lebanon, Wilson County, Tennessee in May 2002.

On 22 Jul 1995 when Gina was 31, she married Sam WHITE.


54. Kathryn LEWIS. Resided in Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee in Jul 2004.

Kathryn first married John Lloyd BELEW Senior, son of Joseph Edward BELEW (1892-1969) & Ruth TUCKER (1895-1948). Born on 15 Nov 1925 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 26, John Lloyd died on 10 Oct 1952. Buried in Oct 1952 in Lexington Cemetery, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in District 13, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1930.

They had the following children:
i. Linda Elaine.

ii. Deborah Suzanne.

iii. John Lloyd. Alias/AKA: "Johnny".


Kathryn second married Claude Ellis ROBERTS, son of Leroy R. ROBERTS (1874-1956) & Amanda Belina AZBILL (1877-1961). Born on 30 May 1912 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 75, Claude Ellis died on 25 Oct 1987. Buried in Oct 1987 in Hare Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Occupation: Farmer.

55. Jerry Neal LEWIS.

Jerry Neal married Lynn WILLIAMS, daughter of Hollis Brown WILLIAMS (1915-1994) & Alene PETTY (1920-2002).

They had the following children:
91 i. Bradley C. (1968-2005)
ii. Jeff.
