Family of John Henry KEE (18) & Nancy PONDER

59. William Henry KEE. Born on 31 Jan 1860 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 80, William Henry died in Hazen, Perry County, Arkansas on 9 Mar 1940. Buried in 1940 in Center Point Cemetery, Hazen, Prairie County, Arkansas. Resided in 12th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1880.

William Henry Kee moved to Arkansas around 1885.

On 18 Jan 1883 when William Henry was 22, he married Josephine BATES, daughter of Thomas BATES Senior (1815-1897) & Nancy HUFFMANN (1817-1897), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born on 7 May 1859 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 90, Josephine died in Arkansas on 9 Jan 1950. Buried in Jan 1950 in Center Point Cemetery, Hazen, Prairie County, Arkansas. Resided in 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1870. Resided in Clarksburg, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1880. Alias/AKA: "Josie".

They had the following children:

172 ii. William Edgar (1887-1967)
173 iii. Charles Murchison (1892-1961)
iv. Harvey. Born on 20 Dec 1896 in Hazen, Prairie County, Arkansas. At the age of 20, Harvey died on 1 Sep 1917. Buried in Sep 1917 in Center Point Cemetery, Hazen, Prairie County, Arkansas. Cause of death: Tuberculosis.

On 26 Nov 1916 when Harvey was 19, he married Mary PHIFER. Born in 1898 in Prairie County, Arkansas.

Harvey Kee and Mary Phifer did not have any children.


60. Joseph Thomas KEY. Born on 9 May 1875 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 81, Joseph Thomas died on 11 Oct 1956. Buried in Oct 1956 in Gautier Cemetery, Gautier, Mississippi. Resided in 12th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1880. Alias/AKA: "Joe".

Joseph Key married several times. He came to Arkansas for visits. Was said to kept his own teeth late into his years. He was buried north of highway 90 on Gautier, Mississippi.

Joseph Thomas Key, 81, Dies Suddenly - Joseph Thomas Key, 82, died suddenly at this home on Napoleon Avenue, Gautier. He had been in ill health for some time, but his death was unexpected. A native of Huntingdon, Tennessee. He had been a resident of Gautier for 17 years. A retired millwright, he was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors are his widow, a son, J.F. of Birmingham. A daughter, Mrs. Ellen Kent of Denver. Five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday from Pascagoula Falls Chapel with Rev Bill Baria, pastor of Gautier Baptist, officiating. Interment was in Gautier Cemetery.

Joseph Thomas first married Della CHENEY.

They had the following children:
i. Nancy Ellen. Born in 1906 in Denver, Colorado.

ii. John F.. Buried in Birmingham, Alabama.


Joseph Thomas second married Laura Z. ?. Born on 14 Feb 1892. At the age of 88, Laura Z. died on 5 Feb 1981.
