Monroe married Raymell TODD, daughter of Willie Lee TODD (1893-1967) & Mollie D. Clyde RUSH. Born on 2 Jul 1921. At the age of 77, Raymell died in Cedar Grove, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1999.

They had the following children:

		i.	Jerry. Born on 6 Apr 1941. Jerry married Wanda Geraldine BUCK.

116. Sherman C. JAMES. Born on 30 Sep 1917 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 68, Sherman C. died on 29 Aug 1986. Buried in Aug 1986 in James Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Cat".

On 15 Apr 1950 when Sherman C. was 32, he married Allie Faye HENDERSON, daughter of Raymond Harrison HENDERSON (1913-1982) & Lillie Auta THETFORD (1914-1967). Born on 25 Jun 1933.

117. Willie Vaughn JAMES. Born on 7 Apr 1922. Alias/AKA: "Shack".

On 22 Jun 1943 when Willie Vaughn was 21, he married Nannie Beatrice THETFORD, daughter of Reverend Benjamin Harrison THETFORD (1890-1950) & Willie Fay RUST (1892-1968). Born on 18 Oct 1926. At the age of 67, Nannie Beatrice died on 23 Apr 1994. Buried in 1994 in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

118. Linnie Sue JAMES. Born on 10 Mar 1926. At the age of 74, Linnie Sue died in Jackson, Madison County, Tennessee on 3 Mar 2001. Buried on 5 Mar 2001 in Poplar Corner Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

Obituary: Services for Mrs. Linnie Sue Bartholomew were Monday, March 5, at Reed's Chapel with burial in Poplar Corner Cemetery. Mrs. Bartholomew, who was 74, died Saturday, March 3 at Jackson General Hospital of heart failure. She was a homemaker and the widow of Henry K. Bartholomew. She leaves two sons, Michael Bartholomew and Kenneth Bartholomew, both of Lexington; a brother, Willie Vaughn James of Cedar Grove and three grandchildren.

On 31 Dec 1945 when Linnie Sue was 19, she married Henry Keithly BARTHOLOMEW. Born on 19 Oct 1921. At the age of 69, Henry Keithly died in Henderson County, Tennessee in 1991. Buried in 1991 in Poplar Corner Church Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

		i.	Jimmy Lee. Born on 16 Oct 1948. Jimmy Lee died on 20 Oct 1948. Buried in 1948 in Poplar Corner Church Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

		iii.	Kenneth Ray. Born on 27 Jun 1964. Resided in Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee in Mar 2001.

119. Thelma Jean JAMES. Born on 28 Jan 1939. At the age of 52, Thelma Jean died on 3 Feb 1991. Buried in 1991 in James Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

On 14 May 1955 when Thelma Jean was 16, she married Libert Cyrus LINDSEY. Born on 20 Apr 1935. Alias/AKA: "Larry".

They had the following children:
